Reforming !!!

Just today I was perma banned (this account) for being negative towards my team and for my recent behaviors in which I was "flaming." Obviously I was very frustrated and angry with the fact that I got perma banned for something that I thought I didn't deserve, but when I cooled down I realized I deserved it because of the way I talk in all chat towards opponents and teammates. Honestly I think League has made me very toxic, and although I won't be playing league for a VERY long time now, I would like your opinion on how to stay calm and collected and less negative through games in which you are trash talked, flamed, inted by other players, trolled, etc.

Obviously there are the basic methods of /mute all and all that stuff, but if theres any other ways to improve on behavior any advice would be helpful! :)

I also want to apologize to the guy I kept being an asshole to in my other post bc I was still mad from being banned lol.

Taking a break from the game changes my attitude towards the game quite drastically and causes the game to seem less important when you go and do stuff that actually matters Other than that, toxicity has a lot to do with general maturity, simply realizing that you're playing a video game, that it's not a big deal and it's not worth getting physcially mad over something that happens on your monitor.

I got banned in bronze, because I was upset with how bad I was, back in Season 5. Once I realised that I can improve, rather than being stuck and salty, I started to become calmer and focused on the game, not the chat. Never have been banned since then, also made my way to Diamond.

PS: And I changed from a former Brand main to GP when he was reworked. You can just play champions you enjoy, even if the game goes into the shitter, you still can have fun with your champion. :3

i got punished once for being negative( was explaining to the team and enemy what is trolling, who was trolling and why it's not okay and to just stop focusing on him....since then i dont use chat anymore that's how you reform

ignore everyone and everything like a good bot that's what riot wants, lie to yourself and everyone about eveything being okay and fine and how it should be because riot said so...and BE POSITIVE OR YOU CAN GET PUNISHED! and even if you are positive, IF YOU ARE SLIGHTLY NEGATIVE YOU CAN BE PUNISHED... YOU SAID IT TOO LATE NO APOLIGIES WILL DO!

only no use of chat ensure 100% safety from chat ban(maybe)...if you get the other type of ban well that's either intentional or false positive

so good luck everyone keeping your account and your mute function(mentality) on, so you can feel safe!

here is a segment of my talk with support about my punishment if it can help anyone and satisfy all those who are gonna call bs

I want to help you avoid any future penalties, so let's talk about this.

A chat restriction is just a nudge to be more conservative with your chat, mute players instead of arguing, and focus on your own gameplay a bit more. Even if you are just responding to someone's negativity, you need to stop and evaluate if your chat is adding anything positive. You can earn a chat restriction if you're misusing chat to respond to a flamer or call out a troll, since in game chat is not the place to do that. If you're not sure, then the best response is to ignore them and not respond at all (mute them if needed), then report after the game.

To be more specific, comments like this do not contribute anything positive to the game, and shouldn't be said into team chat:

DARCKD00M: hey sivir also i forgot to tell u...people who blame rito for problems they dont understand r so foolisj

DARCKD00M: hey sivir 1 u didnt respect role call 2 u made usre jg was no help to team DARCKD00M: try to cover ur but all u want we know we lsoe cause of u DARCKD00M: kda is nothing [All]DARCKD00M: gotta love how sivir is supposed to be one of the best team champ and she soloed all game DARCKD00M: sivir learn to TEAMPLAY its a TEAMGAME u only want to do ur thing n force team to endure ur bs

The majority of all the messages in this chat log are not coordinating the team to win, and are instead focused on other things. That is what a chat restriction is designed to help you with, to help keep the focus on the game, and the majority of your messages focused on winning it.

after I got my chat restrict I raged against all the "unfair" crap I see other accounts do, inting grefing using toxic words that wouldent get caught by the automated system ect.

I decided that I would do the following:

One- Ask them to stop their comments/behaviours nicely. Explain that it is distracting me, make sure to NOT insult them doing so. Two- Ask them again to stop, saying if they dont I will have to mute (this only applys to verbal stuff). Three- If they keep doing it, mute applicable things (Chat, pings) and in chat type for myself something like "Ziggs mute 2029" (the number would be the time stamp) Four- Decided if its worth a simpler report or a support ticket. This is post game. If its a simple report, I include it as such. "Ziggs was toxic, saying XXXXX, asked him twice to stop. Muted 2029" and any relevant details. If its worth a support ticket, I submit it and move right to stage six. Five- Decide if the account is worth watching. Inters/greifers/trolls/hate speach/kys/personal RL attacks, are all watched. People who are aggressivly abusive (OMG WTF UNINSTALL U DONT KNOW THE GAME" - 2 mins in) will be watched. Others will not. Six- Watch the account- pull the account up on GG, bookmarked with date and reason breif in a folder marked watch. Between games or if im bored, i look at the ac%%%%s, and if they keep going on, I follow up with a support ticket (if there was not one already). Seven- Observe the rewards. Every now and then I have to pear it down and the accounts dont ALWAYS get banned or restricted or anything. But I watch a toxic ranked only account go play 10 arams in a row- i know he got a chat restrict. If i see an account stop playing for two weeks then come back, I know he got a 2 week ban. Then there are the accounts that never come back. I keep tab of those for myself, and I have 14 currently that are dead the same day I gave the report. THose are perma. Anyone but perma, I generally will remove after 3-4 weeks.

Having this system, while it may seem arrogant or a lot of work or whatever negative you wana say, has allowed me to tell myself "I have steps for this" when im in a toxic situation. I just move on to the next step, and continue playing. I know that the last parts for the worst offenders is not the every-time event, but it happons often enough for me to get some fealing of justice, so I can keep focused in game.

Good luck.
