What are peoples thoughts on the latest BTR Ft. Stvicious? specifically the Question of toxicity?

I think they make very valid points, as someone who has received a few warnings and punishments, i feel that a lot of "flame" is usually a player calling out another player for playing in a way that negatively impacts the game or slashes their chances of winning. I strongly agree that if someone is doing stupid things, they should be called out for it, especially if they are ruining the game for yourself or your other team mates. This topic i'd like to be discussed from multiple regions because not all regions experience this the same way, Im NA myself, and i find if you say even the smallest of things to anyone despite what they do or dont to do provoke it, you will get reported and you WILL get punished, even if it's just banter or Game Simple trash talk. But in other regions like EU, alot of players from what i've heard have much thicker skin and can take the heat and criticism, or will Bite back. but that is just one example to pull from since its the only other region i've asked about and have watched players play from a lot.

As a player who is passionate, who will call someone out for bad plays, and will normally banter the enemy team in the competitive way, i would love to hear everyone's take on this all Rioters and players alike, regardless of Rank, position, or POV. Feel free to give examples, clips, or even links to more idea and thoughts on this all.

I think one reason players in NA are quicker to report is because they aren't allowed to respond. They know if they respond, THEY are more likely to be punished than the instigator while the instigator usually goes unpunished. If Riot doesn't believe me, they can just read my support tickets.

The instigator can continue to insult you over and over and over. But that one response from earlier in the game is a bigger offense according to riot.

A lot of people report because they are soft, but a lot of people also report out of fear of what would happen if they respond. And in these cases, the instigator still never gets punished. The only way they get punished is if they say certain words enough time with the correct spelling to trigger the automated system.

I think this is the most stupid system since riot themselves tell you to use the mute button. Pointless to ban people through words they type in chat if you can just mute them right?

I can't tell you how many players told me how they were going to kill my family or rape my mother in post game chat and their account remains active. Stupid and inconsistent. We should be able to respond to that garbage when they always get away with it for free because they abuse the system so much that they know how to work around it.

Na is an extremely sensitive region, its as simple as that.

You will get muted and reported for daring to tell a player that they fucked up. They got their feelings hurt, and that's all that matters lol. This kind of mentality is poisonous in a competitive environment, and is why NA will always be a garbage region, and be regarded as a "4fun" region.
