Is there a zero tolerence for intentional feeding?

Hey guys I'm a fairly new league player (moved over from HoTs/Dota2),

I'm level 17 and grinding my way up to 30 to start ranked, but the way up is full of people running down lanes/AFKing actively trying to lose the game. This is especially frustrating when you get your team and some of the enemy team members to report the player only to find that same person in your next game.

I know the system can't be perfect, but getting a feeder in games (enemy or ally) is so common for me. Is there a zero tolerance attitude towards feeding?

There is, but it's A) slow, and B) somewhat inconsistent. Folks feeding intentionally often require a manual review to punish, which involves a hefty backlog, and even then, it's tough to establish intent. Riot could do better here.

But on paper, the punishment for intentional feeding is a 14-day ban on first offense, and a perma after that.

Also, you're at a hellish level right now. You'll encounter fewer trolls once you're over level 30 or so.

Pre-30 has a lot of salty people who were permanently banned, the real game doesn't start until after you are lvl 30, at which point people who have had their account for a while would be much more concerned if they lost their account compared to one that most of these people made a few days ago and can just start over again with no loss.

Obviously not i've reported people for it that have said "screw you guys i'm done i'm gonna help them win" and never got a ban notification so yeah, but don't swear even though you have to actively turn off language filter cause ya know that will get you a chat ban if they report you for anything.

On paper, toxicity and feeding is punished.

In practice, Riot's definition of what constitutes intentional feeding is so permissive that unless the individual in question is an utter moron and makes it obvious beyond any shadow of a doubt, they will not get punished. You can unfortunately count on that.

I'd suggest not even bothering to use the report function. It legitimately makes no difference. Simply shrug your shoulders, ignore the feeder, and maybe practice some sort of mechanic if you can that game.
