Permanent Ban?

Back in the end of August, I received a 2 week ban from League. Ever since then, I have been quite conservative about saying anything in chats, relying heavily upon pings to convey my intent in game. TWO MONTHS LATER, I lose my cool in 1 game, and I get a notification saying that I received a permanent ban from the game. Having played this game since season 4, this was quite a shock. Sure, I had flamed someone but TWO MONTHS AFTER I had received a previous warning, and all of a sudden a permanent ban? Does this seem a little harsh to anyone else? Should this "permanent ban" not be limited to a season, or be required to reset after reaching an honor level or a certain time "x" is met? Thanks!

The amount your account recovers is based upon the number of the games you play and the behavior you show. In those games, so time has very little to do with it. Additionally, these specific reason you are punished could cause you to be escalated past the 14-day ban and into the permanent ban even if your account had recovered slightly. Without knowing what specifically caused the punishment this time and how frequently you played in the interim, it's hard for me to say anything else with accuracy.

Just got a notification in game that said "[service notice] Your account has been permanently suspended", I was a little worried, finished my game then played another. After that game I logged out and played yet another. the notice was not at me, does anyone have any knowledge on this?
