my opinion on afking
warning bad english and PERSONAL OPINION incoming. if either one of those things trigger you, run away now! you have been warned.
lets start with 2 small things that bother me. rework: the rework option only appears if a summoner did not do any movement command before 1:30 ingame. if you play normally until 90 seconds ingame and then leave at 1:31, your team wont have the option to remake. works the other way around. afk until 1:30 and then start playing at 1:31 and your team has the option to remake and you will get that defeat. what confuses me about this is the fact that you can afk for 2min and 59 sec before you get that ingame screen telling you not to afk. you still cant remake in arams. remake(and surrender) vote bugs out if a person reconnects while the vote is still going on.
leavebuster: im not THAT happy with it. im not sure myself what punishement to give, but i feel like for someone who just wants to afk and ruin other people games, a wait time is not really something that holds them back much.
now the actual thing i wanted to talk about... i do NOT support afking in any way and even when im trapped in a game that literally makes me wanna throw my pc out the window (which almost never ever happens) i still play the game. not to my best but i dont go afk. but did you ever consider why someone goes afk? now hear me out: imagine you come home from a hard day of work/school. you go into normal/draft/whatever gamemode and you just want to play your game. you dont even care much if you win or lose, you just want to play a bit. and then you got that 1 guy on the team who is not happy with insert whatever you want here and decides to troll. for whatever reason he comes to your lane, steals your farm feeds your enemys insults and pingspams you. i actually do NOT blame that person if they just leave the game. i would be pissed aswell. i just want to play and someone totally ruins it for me. i do not want to play with them anymore and my mood is ruined. then i just leave. just saying. i dont support it, but think about it. and the thing that annoys me... the person who actually decided to troll prob wont get a punishement for a couple of reasons. (mainly it being hard to detect) the person leaving wont get a leavebuster right away either. but it could happen.
why i make this thread? tbh not sure. its just a random thought that came to my mind and i thought lets post it. start some discussion or give your own opinion or whatever. i like to discuss. arent boards made for that?
