If you know how to game the system, you can ruin as many games as you want and never get punished...

...but if you retaliate, with no concern for tricking the system or trying to be subversive, you get the stick.

For example, if I wanted to, I could run it down, build a legit build, and say things like "oh man im sorry I didn't know they did so much damage" "oh woops didn't realize i was in tower range" "oh my bad guys" "oh gee golly willakers I sure am bad at this game HAHAHA" and I would get away with it indefinitely, 100% guaranteed.

If, on the other hand, I'm another player in that game, and I say "bro fuck you why are you trolling you piece of crap?" and literally NOTHING ELSE THE ENTIRE GAME? BAM punished.

A system that punishes the least common denominator among toxic players, many of whom are JUSTIFIED in venting their frustrations, and ignores or even rewards those who have figured out how to abuse it. It's working fine guys, don't worry about it! They are doing everything in their power to combat toxicity in the game, stop giving them such a hard time!

Sorry man, if you want to game the system, you'd have to try something different. What you said will get caught you pretty easily.

There are ways you can game the system, but not like how you think.

if you talk about "ruining the game" by inting, you only need 1 thing to know:

if youre super SUPER SUPER unlucky and get manual reviewd, youre fucked. otherwise youre good to go.

You're pretty much on the money, you do get banned eventually but that's pretty far down the road since IFS is horrible at detecting int/grief/trolls.

There is a big problem of how riot conducts player behavior punishment and that is they focus mainly on chat and toxicity in it. While it's good to have a system in place for it, even better would be a system that reduces it. How? Player reform is a good way to go but they trashed that idea long ago when they introduced IFS and started to ignore the community. Apparently ANY negative word/phrase gets flagged and adds marks on your account. Thing as stupid, idiot and dumb are perma-bannable words if you've reached that point.

What I don't understand is why riot doesn't try and fix the one big thing everyone keeps complaining about and the source of most toxicity: griefers and trolls. IFS is horrendous at finding griefers and trolls because it requires a lot of context. Riot doesn't like dealing with context. Why else do you think they don't care about context in chat when dishing out punishment? Because it's a lot easier and a lot cheaper. Building an AI that can detect griefing and trolling in game would cost A LOT. And seeing that they can't even afford a decent client that doesn't freeze and lag on beefy computers shows that they either don't have the money or don't care enough to do it.

People getting punished or banned because they spoke out against a griefer or troll is too common a story on this board. The community is going to become more and more toxic as the people getting banned come back to be griefers or trolls as now they have nothing to lose creating more flamers and the cycle repeats itself.

Riot may say their system works as intended and actually catches griefers or trolls but this says otherwise. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/sNjGrJf0-riot-our-intentional-feed-system-detect-and-ban-feeders-usually-after-1-game
