Losing LP for AFKs

Had 2 people go afk in a ranked game. I do my best to win anyway and end up going 6/1/0 179 cs in a 5v3 game. We of course lost due to the afks, but i get demoted to b1. why should a game that has 2 afk people count towards my lp loss or gain. This is completely unfair to those people that arent good enough to just power climb ranked and actually struggle to climb. This is a bullshit game that shouldn't have negative consequences except to those that afk and cost the game. This wasn't due to connection issues, or lack of skill. This is a deliberate act to ruin games for others.

Would you give back all the lp you might have gained when your opponents' DC'd?

Riot stated that on average you benefit slightly more from afkers, statistically. I believe they're using the logic that 4 people lose lp (+1 afk) but 5 people gain lp. So it's a net positive. That's just my estimation.

But also it seems like you're upset because you demoted but if you're good enough then keep playing and you should rank up right? This is just an unfortunate set back that ultimately shouldn't affect where you end up as far as rank goes.

AFK'ers should eat the LP loss of the whole team. At least then those who want to quit and those with shit tech can stay out of ranked more.

Ok, I see your point. But I think it is a bad idea to have a losing team not lose LP because of an afker. Only because it makes it too easy to just have a player afk when they are losing. Having a afker on your team in a ranked game is rare though (thankfully), and if you are good at the game you should manage to climb! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
