A requirement to enter ranked games on champions

Hello there..

Am i the only one who thinks ppls entering ranked games with champions they havent learned yet? it ruins the game for other players who actually trying to accuire a higher rank.

Can Riot set a minimum "lvl" for each champ before entering ranked like to enter a ranked game with a specific champion will require Mastery 6 or higher with that current champion?

That way u can make ppls go normal games until they have learned / skilled their playing with that specific champion enough to play ranked.

with the current mode, u get SOOO many teams in ranked where ppls chooses champions for first time, smurf accounts that rly dont care about ranks and so on.

Pls Riot this would RLY be a makeover that would do ranked games for ppls that actually try to get somewhere so much more fun and so much more reliable teammates. Also it will reduce the smurf accounts coming to just ruin others ranked.

At same time another change that would be very great:

instead of giving/takeing ppls more or less same amount of points in ranked, could u look at the facts = who died most/less, who destroyed most objects and vision score. and give points/take points after this? Coz as it is right now, u can have 1-2 ppl trolling the game for 3 players that actually trying hard, and then the 3 ppls who try hard are loosing same amount as the 2 trolling / feeding.

Anyone else who have same thoughts?

Do you realize that you would need at least 20 champions with mastery 6 just to begin playing ranked ?

It's not an issue for a long time player on his main account, but it is problematic for new players and smurfs

As much as I would like some requirement, slapping a mastery requirement on it probably won't do.

6 is a good and bad number and here is why. I can get 1-5 just by playing enough. It doesn't mean i can play the champion well at all just that I played a lot. Getting 6 does require a S. But S can be finicky depending on champ and position.

Other problems include encouraging one tricks (you do you) or someone banning the only champ you have 6 on. If you have to have multiple 6 go back to initial problem and then it gets worse. I get a 6 on my champ of choice and other random ones during RGM. My champ is banned and now I have to play a different champ that may not be best suited for that position.

I don't really see it as much of an issue. I expect my teammates to feed regardless of their experience on a champion.

That's asking for a lot because, for example, my friend is a pretty good Fizz player but he is married and has a kid so he doesn't have the ability to play all the time. But he, maybe I'm biased, is a pretty good player but doesn't have mastery 6 Fizz. Carried one of our placement games with Fizz. So I think that would be an unfair requirement for people to have to play until they get two -S and up to be able to play rank. Also they would have to get mastery 6 for at least 20 champs (you have to own 20 champs to even play Draft). You'd be asking people to dedicate their lives to a video game just to play competitively.

yes i do realise that u will need to spend lots of time playing with champions u wanna go ranked with, BUT issnt that also FAIR?

so u do know the champions, i know that u can get to lvl5 easy (by playing many games). But that way u also WILL be able to learn the champion.

And yes tbh. there should be like a cap 5-10 champs with m6 to enter ranked.

if u ask me ppls entering ranked with smurfs are just there for 1 purpose, eather ruin the game for their team OR some master player coming to beat the shi. out of bronzes. AND tbh is that fair? (NO)... that should be for a normal fun game and they can allways go there and beat the crap out of someone and it will NOT do any harm to anyone.

But if u as new player in lol or bronze/silver gets to lane against a Diamond player u will with 95% get your ass beaten, and not stand a chance.

So if u ask me this way would be fixing ALLOT of theese problems there is in ranked at theese days.

Level 6 requirement is beyond stupid. Level 3 or 4 maybe.

So just grind vs ai, then play several games trying to get tokens for mastery 6? That means I'm good at the champ?

Also, I personally believe that nothing would change. You would find another excuse as to why you're losing games. Truth is, one team has to win, one has to lose. Each individual can get outplayed regardless of how good they are (especially in mid ELOs and lower). Strangers aren't a hivemind that are all connected to eachother. Each person on your team is just like you, and when you get outplayed they probably think the same shit you do, like "oh this fucking feeder, useless trash. Doesn't know how to play his fucking champ". But really, you just played against someone slightly better than you, and that's all it takes to get outplayed and lose.

Also, what if 5, or even more, of your mastery 6 champs get banned, and you have no more left for the role you were placed in. What about autofill? I rarely jungle, I have maybe amumu at mastery 6, and that's it for junglers. What if amumu gets banned? I gotta play a diff mastery 6 champ, who isn't a jungle?

I think something like X number of normal games would be nice. However, this would be annoying for people with multiple accounts. SO, I'm split on the issue. But remember that over time, the amount of people trolling by first picking a champ on your team will equal the number of times it happens on the enemy team. IN FACT, mathematically, it'll happen more times on the enemy team if you yourself never troll

HotS does this. You have to hit level 5 (about 10 games) with a hero before you can bring them into ranked.

I like it, personally.
