All Chat. What is the point?

I do not know if it is just me, but the All Chat feature has no point at all other than to thrash talk and encourage negative behavior. What positive reason can it be used for?

I think that it is fun and useful. I've actually made league friends from talking to the enemy who I now duo with. Sometimes its fun to have banter with the enemy.

I use it to talk to the enemy team sometimes, not trashing.

Like, "nice play" or "how much hp you have left?" I have very good interactions through it occasionally.

You have the option to turn it off.

Nobody has to use it, but talking to the other team can be fun.

I try to teach other players sometimes when they are struggling or announce that they are new to the champ.

I've had plenty of fun conversations with the enemy team and I enjoy having the option to talk with them.

If you don't find it productive, just disable it.

Lot of the time I just see it being used to talk crap on the enemy or try to get under their skin with childish taunts over who killed who, that and complaining about "X champ taking no skill" when their lane opponent kills them. On a rare occasion, someone might be goofy/friendly in it, but rare to see for me.

I have it disabled and have no intention of ever changing that.

Just my thoughts. All I ever see in all chat are either insults towards the enemy team or "please report this guy from my own team because he's really bad and flaming everyone etc. etc.".
