Players want to report you (or others) for every little stupid thing.
Every little nothing and its "report". Report this or report that.
Riot, you really need to do something about this. I bet you are swamped with stupid reports. Make disciplinary actions towards false or stupid reports. So players will have to think twice before reporting.
false reports are discarded, you have nothing to worry about from them

Filing false report will probably never be punished. Rito did away with report weight a very long time ago. An automated program called IFS (Instant Feedback System) handles the reports so technically Rito is not swamped with stupid reports (it's actually one of the primary reason the Tribunal got scrapped because the Tribunal was swamped with reported games that it cannot handled in a timely manner...think months to process your report). Now the IFS handles those reports ezpz. In the same vein, because the IFS can sort out false and valid reports with acceptable accuracy, there is no reason to penalize false reporter.
However, if someone use "report X" as a weapon (he literally threatened someone with the safety of their accounts) to harass people as you say, THAT will accumulate into a punishment if he does it in enough games to fill the toxic meter. Do QUIETLY report those people after game (don't worry, you can't be punished for your own report, false or not).
So a computer handles the reports eh .. haha. Talk about saving man power.
Fun fact, if they are spamming and lobbying for reports...you can report THEM for it.
Riot has stated that repeatedly lobbying and spamming for reports on players "Report X for...." is actually a punishable offense itself. it falls under harrassment.
They spam "Report! report X for....." You report the player who said this ^ That person will be punished, and it is an escalating punishment too.
the whole "9x" myth doesnt work, one report is all it takes. If someone is spamming for reports, report them and THAT person gets punished. That will help stop this whole "Report happy" attitude people have
if my team is crying to the enemy about reporting so and so (usually me) i will say: 1. asking to report a player is reportable as harassment. 2. reports do not stack. 3. the enemy does not care. same for if the enemy cries to me about reporting a player i simply tell them i do not care. cause why should i? the player is not on my team and is not causing any problems
