If I Report Someone I Don't Want To Get Que'ed With Them Again

Title.

I just played two games with a player, who I believe was very toxic, for the record I wasn't have the best of days and played poorly. This person felt the need to downgrade other players, myself included, because he claimed he was a "high elo smurf."

As to wondering as why I didn't dodge, I gave the person a benefit of doubt as maybe they were having a bad day. But unfortunately, they decided to act out, yet again.

So would it be difficult to create a system, where if you report someone the odds of being paired with them are significantly lowered?

Blizzard tried such a system on Overwatch and had to discontinue it because it was getting used to abuse the matchmaking. If we could ensure it was only used properly it would be great, but alas.

This is the 3rd or 4th thread about this in a few days, and the 1000000th thread about it since League was invented. Giving players any control over matchmaking will then make matchmaking a toilet. People will have lists a mile long of people they've blocked or reported just because they did poorly, didn't do what they told them to do, "soft inted," "trolled," etc. Sometimes finding a game takes long enough, we don't need to add more horseshit to it.

Would it be difficult to wait 5 minutes after reporting someone before queue up again? It would accomplished what you want (significantly lowered the odds of being pair with them) and it won't open matchmaking up for abuse

No, it would not be difficult, but also no, it will not happen.

The difficulty of doing something does not determine its usefulness, reliability, or desirability. This system is not useful and is in fact very undesirable for many reasons that others have already covered.

When I don't want to play with someone, I normally queue up as their role the next game.

Those are the joys and benefits of being a support main but can fill.

I'm just imagining the shitshow Challenger would turn into if they did this

A lot of pro players would probably have to have hidden smurfs just to get into a game.
