Edit: You all are missing the point. I know I deserve the ban I fucked up. Im saying can we try to clear out the people who cause the actual problems that make people flame So done with this game, which sucks cause its one of the few games i still enjoy even with the toxicity in it. Honestly I know people get mad from time to time and I dont report people who flame unless they are being racist or some shit. But from what I can tell its completely ok to troll or int or afk or flame but if you get mad about that shit you get 14 day bans just for swearing. Just had a varus who decided to afk and flame his sup and I get banned for telling him to shut up and play the game. People flame my baddie friends all the time and never get a ban cause all riot cares about is naughty words. Fuck this toxic community and fuck riot. Take off your stupid automation and actually look at people with multiple reports to see whos making the fucking problems happen in the first place. Heres the chat log to show you how little I said in the entire game with varus flaming the mao and rest of team the whole game Game 1 Send Lewdz: just dont stay behind wave Send Lewdz: kys Send Lewdz: im playing the most immobile carry Send Lewdz: solo lane Send Lewdz: stfu about peel Send Lewdz: mao when mf ults jump on her and q Send Lewdz: report varus Send Lewdz: you were afk before that Send Lewdz: kys varus Send Lewdz: LOL

You got banned for encouraging another player to commit suicide. Not for "telling him to shut up and play the game"

Dude, it's you who don't get the point. No one here says it's OK to flame, what people are saying is that telling someone to kill themselves is much, much, MUCH worse than just flaming. That is why flaming needs to be consistent to get punished for it, whole what you said is one of the zero-tolerance phrases.

You said how you only report people for being racist. Well, Riot sees what you said to be as bad as racism.

Even though I agree on your point about trolls not being punished, your ban is very well deserved. You kept saying "kys" to someone, which is unacceptable. You basically encourage them to commit suicide, and I can't understand how you think that's ok.

Honestly, I hope you got permabanned instead. There is no place in the community for people like you.

You told him to kill himself 2 times. Do you know if he is suicidal in the first place? Honestly I understand your frustration towards the system because it is a system full of holes and it very rarely gets revised. Your best chance is to just avoid those keywords and phrase your insults in a polite, yet stinging, way. Personally I found that the blacklisted words have made flaming more elegant and witty. Just go with "Why do I have to suffer because someone didn't pull out in time 14 years ago?" or some shit like that that contains 0 danger to get you banned xD. Intricate flaming is the best and will also earn you some honors from any secret reforming flamer in the game.

Trolls and inters do get banned but because they're getting smarter about how they avoid detection (and because Riot wants to try to avoid punishing innocent players as much as possible) it's harder to catch them in the act compared to simple chat-related offenses. Gameplay related offenses when proven to be on purpose are assigned a 2-week ban as the first punishment. In case you don’t believe me on this point here are some examples of gameplay trolls being banned. Yes it’s just a few examples, but it proves that they do get punished.

That said though, other people behaving poorly does not excuse your own poor behavior, especially if that poor behavior involves telling someone to kill themselves. Riot has a strict zero-tolerance policy for that and results in a 14-day ban for the first offense. No one likes troublemakers but there are better ways to handle the poor situations they make than stooping down to their level.

I mean, you used a zero tolerance phrase, which is a huge step above normal flaming. telling someone they're trash and should uninstall for example is punishable, but it takes much, much longer for it to do so compared to someone using hate speech or wishing self harm.

Neither is okay. Act like an adult or get treated like an annoying child, the choice is yours.
