Permanently banning players

Riot games, isn't it enough to punish "flamers" only by chat ban? or if you cant do it to solve hes flaming by being tilted feeling why dont you just "Permanently ban hes CHAT" instead of whole account.... Does anybody deserve to get permabanned by getting tilted? why it isnt like in every game..... Permaban should be only for Cheating or Trolling. Why dont you only ban their chatting? pings are enough. Me, after spending 100+ euros in my own account + paying friend to gift me mistery skin gifts like 50 euros more... gets permanently banned because getting tilted by hes team and enemy team? Its like 9 players are fighting 1 verbally... Do you really think someone deserve that? Thanks for everything, i just lost about 1000+ hours of playing the game, plus about 100 hours of real life work to get my self some Riot Points so i can enjoy... As i siad, thanks for everything Riot Games... You left big hole in my hearth.

Short version: No.

Long version: This is one of those things that fall into the category of "sound good, doesn't work". Riot has tried virtually permanent chat restrictions in the past. Technically they just removed higher tier punishments for chat related offenses and instead made chat restriction stack up infinitely, but within a really short time of this experiment there were people with over a thousand games worth of chat restrictions. Now, that in itself isn't really a problem, the problem comes when people feel like they can no longer express their frustration in the way they used to. They would resort to ping spamming at best, and feeding and trolling at worst. So basically, they just moved away from easily detectable and mutable offenses to the kind of offenses that are more tricky to detect and impossible to protect against. The problem didn't just persist, it was actively made worse.

Of course this doesn't apply to everybody. Just like the general idea behind permabans (those who are unwilling or unable to reform) doesn't actually apply to everybody that is permanently banned. But Riot has to find a balance between giving people time (and tools) to stop ruining games and quickly weeding those out that will never stop ruining games.

You had your second chance. Presumably you had two more after that. And there's only so many second chances that are feasible for Riot to give.

I believe I read something stating that Riot tried perma-muting toxic players in the past. The reason it didn't work though is because the players who were perma-muted would just find other ways to grief their teammates. It makes sense in theory, but again, I'm not 100% sure on the accuracy of that claim.

100 hours of real life work to get 150 euros? So you're getting paid 1.50 an hour?

I agree..I believe perma-bans should be sub-catagorized to fit the offense...like perm chat disable (except for lobby) that way theres no instalocks, and they can atleast tell us hey im chat banned btw

They need money. Make new account, buy IP/XP boosts, then buy new skins. Profit.

And then they just int in games.

Why force people to play with someone who can't communicate at all?
