I got ban for a chat log like this...abuse the report system is real

I got ban for a this game chat log . where i been tellingpeople to just stop typing and fighting and play the game. This had proven the system is simply just base on report abuse but not the actual content. The only negative comment i had was post game and it wasn't even that bad. But i had been playing that game so calm and was just trying to get people to stop being toxic and fighting. You guys really need to compare the whole conversation and chat logs and apply penalty acordingly . I don't see how this chat log i have warrants even close to a ban. This game should not be count as my penalty there for i should not be ban. During the entire game top were just fighting with bot duo and mid started to flame the team too, I been calm only state up valid points to turn our situation. I just been telling people to stop typing and the rest were normal conversation with teamates. Someone suggested to group and i was stating the fact we shouldn't group because we were behind we couldn't even win a 4v5 dragon fight and people are behind in farms. Its just a regular exchange between team. I doubt a human read the chat log would issued a ban. More like an auto ban after certain votes of report. this game had a toxic duo, so i automatically gotten 2 votes. The other 2 were just flaming the entire team also but i didn't comment to them at all except telling them to just stop typing. Receiving a ban from a chat log like this is simply just not fair

You spent much of the game telling people to stop typing, demanding them to farm (and getting needlessly aggressive about it at one point, at that), and hammering their poor performances over their heads.

Frankly, I find it ironic that you can spend so much time in the game typing about how everyone should just stop typing. Perhaps you should try practising what you preach?

And what do you mean by "report abuse"? Multiple people reporting one person? 'Cause that doesn't actually work. The IFS only requires one report to trigger a review, and additional reports don't increase the likelihood of a punishment.

You made negative comments before the post-game lobby, and it doesn't matter if you think your comment wasn't that bad, your behavior as a whole was well below the bar of expected behavior.

Yes, very calm.

Second, you spent much of the game pretty much spamming the chat telling people to stop typing. If they don't listen the first time, why do you think they'll listen the 7th, or 8th time? At some point, you really should've considered the possibility that your team was just flat-out unreasonable and not worth talking to.

But instead, you kept typing.

Punishments are not dealt upon the perception of one player having been worse than another. Even if we saw the other player's chat logs, your punishment would still have been merited, because the punishment you receive is based on your behavior. And for that reason, we only need to see your logs to judge your behavior and whether or not the punishment was merited.

It's curious how none of those valid points were positive or beneficial. Do you think anybody's going to play better after being told that they're "way behind in cs", and need to "farm the fuk up", in between near-constant demands to "stop typing"?

I know I wouldn't. If your only way of trying to turn a situation around is to just bash people over the head with their shortcomings and poor performances, then you may as well just not bother typing at all, 'cause, oh greatest of ironies:

You're right that it's more likely that the Instant Feedback System (IFS) was the one to deliver your punishment instead of a human reviewer, but that doesn't mean that your punishment was invalid. And it certainly doesn't mean...

That reports stack and increase the likelihood of punishment. The IFS just doesn't work like that. Riot Tantram, the guy who coded the IFS, has repeatedly told players, making it abundantly clear, that the IFS works as follows:

IF a number of reports is filed greater than a value of ZERO, THEN it flags the game for REVIEW.

That means it doesn't matter if you get one report, two reports, or nine reports - the outcome is the same. The IFS simply reviews your chat logs, ignoring the amount of reports filed against you, since it only takes one, and applies a penalty based on your behavior.

Well, here's where you can learn a valuable lesson: Toxic people aren't reasonable. Don't bother typing to them at all, PERIOD. Don't tell them to stop typing, don't tell them to shut up, don't even give them the time of day. They're not reasonable people, they're not going to listen, and you're just gonna wind up yelling at a wall to shut up the whole match and wind up in this situation.

Of course it won't seem fair if you believe you didn't break the rules. But, you did break the rules, so it is fair.

You constantly typed yourself, while you really should've just muted them. You distracted yourself by typing a lot also.

You report called (which is considered negative behavior since it doesn't actually do anything, as long as the report number is bigger than 0 the account gets investigated, doesn't matter if it's 1 report or 9x).
