Got banned for dodging a queue with a toxic player

Had a player who trolled and threw the previous game by selling all his items and buying boots so when i get into the next game he is there and so i queue dodged because he said he was gonna do it again. i feel like i was wrongfully queue banned. We need to be able to report or do something in champ select to stop these problems. We need a way to not play when we know a player is gonna troll without getting in trouble.

Unfortunately, it isn't as easy as everything thinks to deal with that sort of thing, or to report people saying they are going to troll. They might just be trying to get people to dodge to get a better game.

Having a vote to kick isn't coded in and can allow for misuse. People might use it because someone is playing a champion they don't like, not necessarily trolling.

The fact is, there is always going to be a penalty for dodging.

Well thats odd, because dodging isn't actually bannable. Are you sure you weren't banned for something else?

What is a queue ban? Like leaverbuster? LPQ? How long did you have to wait? Cuz if it was a long one, you must dodge often. I hope you reported the troll too. It usually doesn't work immediately but reports will add up and he will get banned. Sometimes I think Riot waits and bans trolls in waves and that's why you don't get the notification right away. If the troll says he's gonna troll next game too, maybe wait like 3 or 4 minutes before queueing up again.

I know this is all great in hindsight, but at the time you don't expect to run into the same player again. It's bullshit that that happens... but people are assholes. They will always ruin and take advantage of any system they possibly can, including capitalism and democracy. Real life shit. At least this is just a video game... but I digress...

You did what you had to do to avoid an obvious loss. Unfortunately, you've dodged too frequently as of late. You just have to bite the bullet and take the "queue ban?" Sucks, but it's hard to make a system that will be less abuseable and allow you to avoid any mishaps.

  1. learn to not dodge
  2. get better so they have less impact on your match
  3. if you know what he will do prep for it and make adjustment to counter it
