So... I Got Chat Restrict like 2-3 months ago. Since then I've got tons of honors, many times I had 3-4 honors and I often was the most honorable player in team. Even after those 2 months, during which I got my season rewards, some keys for being sportsmanlike and stuff like that. I played about 100-200 games since then and... I'm still at Honor Level 1. Is it going to stay like that forever, till season starts or what?
Lol, dude... on this account I was given an "honor reward" for 37 honors. Yesterday. I've been level 2 for like 2 months, despite this being fairly normal. Incidentally I get told I am being reported... a lot.
Never chat restricted, never banned, never even gotten a warning... but my honor doesn't move.
Basically RIOT found a way for trolls to abuse the report system and ensure they block people from yet another reward system.
Got chat restricted (without any warning like "someone reported you...") because someone inted one of my game and flamed my whole team. I only got toxic while defending them. He received nothing and now i cant grab my ranking rewards while i was honor 4 before this. This isn't fair to get put to honor 1 for only one game when the real toxic players gets away with no punishment. Especially right before seasong rewards...
There are people who played for months on end and still haven't progressed a single level even when not being reported and getting honored, it's safe to say no one gets to level 2 again once they get knocked down.
This whole honor system is broken and is for the peeps that cant handle people getting nasty in a video game. I was chat restricted 5 months ago and yet im not even honor level 1 yet despite getting tons and tons of honor. Now im locked out of my rewards for obtaining gold+ because some pussy got his feelings hurt almost half a year ago. Your game is ass Riot, playing and earning my victorious skin since season 3 but this pc culture has got this company by the balls.
Was honor 5 in season 7 and 8, had beef with another player in ranked, we called each other names, I got banned, he ofc didnt get banned and reaching honor 2 takes longer than getting 5 I swear..
If you are being validly reported, it can slow your honor progress, up to virtually no progress being made. If you misbehave in games still, but it's too rare/infrequent for you to deserve a full-on punishment, you may still not be progressing in honor.

I even talked to Riot about their honor system. The riot employee knows nothing! He was unable to answer a single question other than link me a discussion board post from the past. Which did not answer my question. How can riot do this and not know how their own system works?! I've been honor 1 almost this entire season with zero change and Riot has no idea why.
Same here, was banned for saying "fuck" 2 times in 3 games(2 times in total), then appealed and was told by one of the Riot staff members i was "TALKING TO MUCH",therefore distracting the players. I couldnt believe what i read. I was talking to much in a game where you have chat to communicate, and because of that i had no season rewards, and have been stuck at honor lvl 0 for about 6 months, probably more. I have gotten lots of honors, lots of wins, i havent had anyone threaten to report me, so i would say i havent been reported either. So can anyone say to me thats fair ? Im asking Riot members and/or the player base. :D
Play more games. It is the number of games and not based on the amount of time. I got honor 2 in about a month and a half after a ridiculous ban.

Similar situation. I received a chat restriction a long time ago (I deserved that one), worked my way back to H2 then get hit with a BS report from someone who was angry, flaming and inting only to be hit with a 10 game chat restriction and now no rewards for finally making it to Gold.
same here, I got a 14 day ban on my current accound and got 2 honor checkpoints after 2 months. Also, someone broke into my old account, started being really toxic and got me perm banned. Before that I had a 2 week ban after my premades reported me for fun. At this moment, I'm aiming to get to plat, which is easy with my duo partner, but I still won't get the skin for getting gold this season, smh riot, fix ur fucking honor system and report system.
Stupid dumb Riot been good for a year and 2 days before the reward i get banned for saying idiot why r u flaming so hard for banning senna stop talking. When the other guy was cursing and spam pinging. For that they banned me. Stupid Riot and their honoring system. Wish i hadnt spent any money on this game. Banned for one little argument. Fckin bullshit.

Back when I got back to Honor 2 in about a month and a half, it was far easier to progress in honor because Riot made the system progress much faster due to being introduced in the middle of the season. THIS season, it will take a lot longer to progress.
If your friend plays like 6 or more games per day, he MIGHT get his honor unlocked in a month and a half OR 2 months. Then it might take another month and a half or 2 months to get back to Honor 1. Assuming he doesn't get reported during any of those games because I think reports might hinder progression as well. I am currently Honor 4 right now and started at Honor 2 this season. So it took me a little over 4 months to progress up 2 honor levels. I play about 6-14 games a day on average so it is pretty slow. I might get reported a lot though which would slow it down. I likely trigger a lot of people when I tell them that the 50 minions crashing into our turret is more valuable than taking every single Krug. : )
