How can one expect to climb with this?

How is it okay that we lose any LP at all when we have an intentional feeder? How is it okay we lose more tan 5 LP when we have 0 deaths and the rest of our team has 10 + ? How do we lose any LP when we're the only one staying positive but everyone wants to play like a hero and feeds, then points fingers?

Im sure we heard this 100000 times before but losing that much LP because of as little as ONE toxic teammate is not ok. And you know where you find the most toxic people? Not bronze, silver. by far this season is the heaviest of them all due to the insane increase in new players and the more players there are the more of a chance to get a toxic teammate there is.

All im sayin is that we shouldnt lose a huge amount of LP due to toxic teammates. Like a recovery system would be great... for instance of someone gets banned for being reported enough for inting, that games LP gets forwarded back to his teammates. maybe not in full but at least Something comes back. Like how is it fair to lose my series when Im being flamed for not being able to gank all 3 lanes within the first 30 seconds of the game? how is it fair that any player can get dragged soooo far down because of one person who had a bad day and decided to make everyone elses worse?

What in the world can be done about it? Ya the grind is hard, ya a 55% win ratio is still climbing, but why does it have to be so ridiculously hard all on the account of toxic players??????????????

Because u gain LP when opponent has those. And in long run you will gain more free LP like than lose

Unfortunately allowing players to NOT lose LP based off of a toxic teammate is not only subjective, but also easily abused by duo's and just in general. It sucks but there are always ways to improve.

When I was doing ranked I found that one of the best ways to improve was to keep a journal of each game. Find three things I did well and three things I could have improved upon. Usually this is map vision, placing more wards, communicating better, ganking when possible if you are ahead, things like that. I did NOT blame my teammate for any issues we had. This journal was completely self-reflected unless there was something positive to say about my teammates.

Also realizing that the odds actually are in your favor is helpful. In any given game (not counting twisted treeline) there are 9 players that you have no control over, and as such 9 players who could be considered toxic for one reason or another. This is assuming you are not going to be toxic. Out of these 9 players 5 of them are on the enemy team and 4 are on your team. This means that there's a 55% chance (5/9) for a negative player to be on the enemy team and about a 44% chance (4/9) for them to be on your team, if there is a negative player. This 11% difference can make a huge difference. Imagine having your win rate go up by 11%!

Those two things are ways I help maintain a positive attitude. Unfortunately a system to recover LP based off of toxic players is tough to pull off as you'd need an automatic detection system or else you could potentially gain LP in a new league or division based off of past games. An automatic detection system for toxicity is far too subjective.

Toxicity is something that is always being looked at and various solutions are being tested. It is an issue within the community without a doubt. If you are having trouble with people flaming you, the mute button is always a good option.

Best of luck on moving up the ladder!
