Ranked Toxicity And Report System

So... I'm super new. Like, four to five months into the game. I don't play constantly, so I just got to lvl 30. I tend to do really well in normal mode, so I figured I'd try out ranked. Well, I'm not very good, so when I'm put into these gold league matches, I'm destroyed. I warn my team that I'm new, and that I'm in placement matches, and they're just obscenely toxic. Not only that, but they all report me (at least say that). My main questions here are:

Is there any way I can get banned if I'm not actually intentionally feeding or starting the toxicity? Playing bad can't cause a ban, right?

If that's so, and reporting won't automatically cause a ban, then do they get penalized for reporting me just because they're tilted (if I've done nothing wrong)?

Is there anyway to finish these first ten matches in such a way that I don't have do deal with this?

Thanks.

If you have truly done nothing wrong, then you will not be banned, and having a bad game is not doing something wrong. False reports will not count against you.

As for them, if they continually issue false reports, then over time their report weight will be lowered, eventually to the point to where the system will ignore their reports altogether.

Unfortunately there's really no way to guarantee that you don't have to deal with that sort of behavior when doing your placement matches.

1.no you won't get banned. A lot of ACTUALLY TOXIC people aren't getting banned for some reason I don't know. This report system just generally sucks. 2.Yes their reports will weight less in the future for every false report they sent 3.find some friends to rank together.

I think people who issue false reports should be banned themselves.

The system put me in Bronze 5 this season when I went 8-2 in placements. I got out of Bronze with like a 73% winrate just stomping everyone it was dumb. I was carrying my lane, perfect wards, perfect pink wards. I think I got put there cause Riot knew I was gonna play 200+ games cause I like it, and Bronze needed good supports this season. I was in Silver IV at the end of s5 so my MMR couldn't have been that low.

Play your 10 games, get placed in Silver 2 then stop playing IMO. Getting jacked down into Bronze is annoying and I don't know if they are going to do that again this season but don't start dropping down to Silver 5.

If people tell you to uninstall then you should just take their word for it. No decent player wants to play with you. I dare any high elo player to queue with you, they wont.

Unfortunately, you cannot get in any trouble for playing poorly. You can go 0-10 and ruin the game for your teammates, wasting their time and taking their LP, but if they so much as call you "bad", they are the ones being punished.
