As the title states.. this game needs a leaver/kick system.
One person can leave, or never enter, a game and ruin it for everyone else. This is extremely frustrating and needs to be addressed.
One response I see is a new person coming in won't have items.. give them an average in levels/gold of his teammates.
WoW implemented a leaver/kick system for their BGs YEARS ago and it's time LoL figures it out as well.
Or have a vote kick in lobby for trolls maybe?
I think it would be a little more difficult to implement than the WoW system.
With the whole champion select / ban phase, the game begins right then, before the match even starts. If you allow someone new to enter the game after someone AFK's - 1 you will either have to show them the make-up of both teams and allow them to counter pick the enemy team - 2 or you can let them pick blindly and potentially be useless to the team they're filling for.
On top of the fact that they will be completely behind everyone else, even if you gave them starting gold relative to their team levels.
