I was getting flamed on the whole entirety of this game and after the Darius called me out on "eloboosting" without knowing what he's talking about i think it is actually OK to call him an idiot because he behaved like one and was 10x more toxic then any player I've played with in my last 20 games. For the record I am not boosted i only play solos ...

A 10-game chat restriction is the lightest punishment you can get in League. Yes, it nukes your honor, but it's effectively the equivalent of a cop pulling you over and telling you that next time you're getting a ticket.

You should know it wasn't just for calling someone an idiot, even though there are other insults in your chat logs. You got reported - rightfully so - and the system looked at your recent history, saw too many instances where you were being insulting and gave you a ban. You should know that Riot's "punishment volcano" is based on the idea that people will either reform relatively quickly or not at all. If you don't change your behavior, you should expect escalated responses.

Yeah, insulting players is against the rules. I dont know how thats surprising to you. Check out the ToS, theres a lot of things that can get you punished... I'd say insulting people is the most basic and generally known one.
