So I was just permanently banned from League in a game where I didn't think I was very toxic at all compared to a lot of things I have seen. Here is my chat log and I will kind of explain what is happening below it. So as you see, beginning of the game I am just kind of messing around. Mind you I am playing fantastic early game. So starting around the 5 minute mark or so our Lucian starts talking a lot of trash to me saying I am afk farming and a bad jungler, etc. I ignore it all because I'm just doing me. When you notice I start cursing at Lucian telling him to "F*** off" that was about 20 minutes or so in where he has already been trash talking me basically the whole game by now. The reason I started cursing at him is because he started stealing my jungle farm from me just to troll me. On top of that, when I called him a "R**ard" it was because I was at about 10% HP after I just got done killing a dragon by myself, then he shoots one of those health plants WHILE HE WAS AT FULL HP and takes all the health bubbles just to spite me. Basically after that I was done with my toxic outbursts because I was over the whole ordeal and I was just messing around grabbing objectives. I honestly don't think this deserves a permanent ban, I know 90% of the League community is going to disagree but I just wanted to throw this out there.

This is definitely punishable behavior and, if you were already on a 14-day ban, you clearly didn't learn your lesson. I doubt it's an immediate 14-day or permanent ban, but if you were already punished at one of those levels this seems like reasonable escalation to me. There's no excuse for being this much of a jerk to your fellow players, and consistently showing you don't listen to warnings WILL eventually get you punished even if the chat alone wouldn't escalate you immediately to a ban in a vacuum.

Had you been previously punished in any form?

This is taken directly from the Instant Feedback System FAQ:

PUNISHMENTS GENERALLY FOLLOW A BASIC ESCALATION PATH:

  • First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction
  • Second Offense: 25 Game Chat Restriction
  • Third Offense: Two Week Suspension
  • Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

However, it is possible to skip to a Two Week or Permanent suspension based on the severity of the behavior in the game. Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account.

I see where you have had punishments in the past, including a 14 day suspension that you mentioned once before, but that has been long enough that as long as you have not been being reported regularly, your account should have moved into a lower punishment tier than the permanent suspension. Have you had a recent 14 day suspension?

WHY DID I SKIP RESTRICTIONS? We have a zero-tolerance policy for extreme negative behavior as well as extremely offensive language and remarks made in game towards other players. Since it is a severe disregard for the Summoner’s Code this sort of behavior can result in skipping to a Two week or Permanent suspension. Suspensions of this degree based on negative behavior will not likely be reduced or removed.

Typically, it's rather egregious toxicity, threats, or the use of hate speech that causes someone to skip punishments. Calling someone retarded is sometimes considered a form of hate speech as a derogatory slur against a person with a mental disability, just like saying someone has Downs would be equally intolerable. It's possible that this slur, combined with the other comments towards the Lucian were the cause for the report and ban.

I tend to agree with The Djinn, I doubt it would have raised you up to a 14 day or permanent suspension without there already being a previous, recent punishment on your account, but if you had one, then it likely would have been enough to raise you to the next punishment level.
