How do I avoid a permaban?

Mordekawaiiser·12/10/2018, 10:47:57 AM·1 votes·3,931 views

In november 30th I got a 14 day suspension in my account after playing a ranked game where I went 0/8/(I don't remember the assists tho lol) as Mordekaiser Mordekaiser . The problem was not how bad I played the game but the toxic behaviour I showed in the game as I felt extremely tilted during the game due to a rough start.

So yes, I do know and recognise my behaviour was toxic and I deserved the ban.

I would like to say in most of my games I don't use the chat and avoid being toxic and I even was honor lvl 5 before the ban, but I guess it doesn't really matter now lol.

Now I'm getting my account back again in Friday 14th, and I would like to know what kind of behaviour can get mee permabanned and how to avoid it.

I've been reading a bit about it and I've read something like after a 14 day suspension yur account is placed in some kind of watchlist until you're considered to be reformed, but during that time, showing any kind of toxic behaviour can get you instantly permabanned. I don't know if this is true but if it is:

-What behaviours do I must avoid to get the permaban? -If I happen to have a bad game (like my last 0/8/?), could it be considered a reason to permaban? -If any player reports me now just because they tilted, will it be considered enough reason for a permaban?

If what I asked about the permaban is not true:

-If I happen to get any punishment again, will it be a 14 day restriction too?

Thanks for you help

Don't do anything even remotely questionable, as you're going to pretty much be on thin ice for a while. If you feel yourself getting tilted to the point where you want to flame someone, /mute all, finish the game, then take a break. If you don't do anything that would merit punishment, you won't get permabanned even if someone reports you. going 0/8/? won't be an issue unless you were actually inting.

DONT USE CHAT AT ALL !!!

if you must use chat keep it completely generic and positive such as : jungler is top/mid etc they are on drag rotate mid

dont address a player directly , use pings

try to be an ass kiss to teammates to farm and farm honor. ( your honor lvl will be locked for some time )

you are on "thin ice" for about 3 months/100 + games ( rough estimate no one knows for 100% )

any infraction you are reported for that is legit will result in perma banned even if on its own wouldnt result in a chat restriction prior to your 14 day ban. you are flagged as a "toxic player ' it will take some time to get this off.

Whatever you do you should keep in mind that you have a history now. If you don’t want to /mute all then keep in mind that small stuff like “gg ez” and “please report XY” can get you permabanned. Even things that aren’t even considered 14-ban worthy for somebody without a history can become the deciding factor for you. Also do not spam the chat and don’t fight with anybody, even if you don’t directly flame them. That can get you permabanned as well. So my suggestions/tips to keep in mind are:

  1. you go over some of the “permabanned” threads on here to get a feel for what is bannable and what is not. Usually it’s pretty obvious why somebody got permabanned so I advice you to dig for the less obvious ones.

  2. ALWAYS keep in mind that Riot does not care about context. Whenever you want to defend yourself or you want to flame a troll remind yourself of the fact that Riot will only consider what YOU said. So if you want to type sth and that one thing is negative by itself on a blank paper then do not press enter.

  3. It indeed doesn’t matter if you were honor level 5 before your ban. If you had a 50/50 history of positivity and negativity Riot will only care about the negative one.

  4. /mute all. Even if you don’t want to do it, you should still try it. After a while you won’t miss the chat anymore.

  5. Don’t ever forget that there’s nobody to blame but yourself if you do get permabanned after all. I hope and I’m sure you won’t, so do keep in mind that restraining yourself for a while is better than being banned for life.

Most likely, no. Next step for any punishment is likely a permaban. As for avoiding a perma, do your best and try not to use chat. The current ping system is good enough that you don't even need to use the enter key.

Like some have said: "/mute all" might help. However, it won't prevent you from typing yourself if you get angry. I don't like "mute all" suggestion as solution myself. I prefer the following:

  • Turn off All-chat. All-chat is a weapon for the enemy to get inside your head. There is no need to give them that weapon.
  • If you talk on team-chat, make sure it is positive and about how to win the match. Encouraging comments are also allowed - they make your honor recovery faster.
  • If someone from your team annoys you, mute him. Don't talk to/with or about the annoying person. Instead report him if you think the annoyance is report worthy. And no "Reported" either during the match or in post game lobby. Report calling is also a big no-no.

Granted, following the above piece of advice is much harder that just "mute all". If you the OP (or anyone else with self-discipline problems) find it too difficult, mute all might still work for you. Just remember to stop typing too. And ping spamming is potentially hazardous to your account as well.

I only ban Riven12/10/2018, 12:06:11 PM2 votes

You will not be banned for "feeding" when having a bad game, no matter your score nor how many games it happened. You will not be banned for having one, two, three or four teammates tilted by you.

You can and will be banned, possibly permabanned, if you are a jerk in the chat. My suggestion, don't even speak to anyone. Don't even excuse yourself for being bad. Ignore, mute everyone, and play. You can and will be banned, possibly permabannedm if you are a jerk in the game and feed the enemy. The inting system does not rely on your score, but on your activity on the game. The intervals of time when dying, damage dealt before dying, statistically computes that, and if you are outside of some parameters, you will likely be banned. Multiple games like that, and you get permabanned.

My advice: forgive the chat. Don't use it. Stay away from it. Use it only when discussing strategies. No jokes, no salutations, no "gg ez", no cursing, basically don't use it not even if you think it would be good for the game. You can mute everyone, or move the chat window so down you won't see what others type. After you do that, remove the Enter key from your keyboard, and enjoy your games.

when you enter a game. type this: /mute all

You could communicate nicely or type as if you were working your job.

The golden rule of not getting banned is:

Don't talk, just ping.

ı Sona ı12/10/2018, 7:01:55 PM1 votes

Just be nice to others. Don't flame even if you aren't doing well.

So, you don't say what your ban was for - were you banned for intentional feeding, or being toxic in chat?
