TL:DR Player attempts to bully someone out of their lane, after the game starts. Bullied player can't leave lane as they wont earn LP for the role they want.

UPDATE: The offender is being investigated by Riot Support. They can't tell me the result though.

So I duo queued up with a friend, I choose mid as my main lane and proceed to get that lane. Our top laner didn't want to go top lane as they picked darius, and the enemy laner chose heimerdinger. So the Darius decided that he wanted to lane against the mid lane yasuo instead and asked for mid when the game started. I, the mid laner, didn't want to swap, I was playing karthus and I am fairly good in that matchup as I have had to play it many times.

After saying no to the lane swap, darius decided to just come to mid anyway and stay there, taking cs like it was his lane, he was constantly telling me to go top and that mid was his lane. He even went into all chat to get the enemy team to report me for trolling, as "mid was his lane" and that I wouldn't leave. Throughout the game, darius kept coming to the mid lane, KS'ing kills and claiming that they were proof of him countering the yasuo. We lost top tower at 11:30~ and the heimerdinger left lane phase fed and uncontested on farm.

This kind of behaviour is common, especially in my ELO (High silver - Mid Gold) and with the new ranked system giving you LP for the lane you spend time in, you cannot leave to another lane when these people attempt to bully others out of their lane.

Note: I did report the player after the game. After logging back into the game after 24hrs, I did not receive a message saying that system penalized the player for his actions, as far as I am aware, he has got away with it.

Just because you didn't get a message doesn't mean he got away with it. Most games like this have to be manually reviewed, and that can take time sometimes. Or someone else may have reported him in another game after that one, and he may have been punished for that game.

All you can really do is report after the game, and mute them in game if need be. If you really feel that's not enough, then send in a support ticket including that video and any information you can and it'll be looked into.

To be honest, I'd have just gone Top. But ONLY because of the unique circumstances of this particular match. I fuckin hate hate hate Yasuo and I'd rather have an insane early game champion like Darius face him instead on getting shit on by Heimerdinger. I don't play Karthus but if I did, I might have been the one bullying him out of top lmao. Karthus vs Heimerdinger seems way more reasonable than any melee vs Heimerdinger.
