what the @#! do i do to get out of silver?

I dont play ranked, because my friends are way higher rank because they played way before me so i cant play with them. I can't stand solo q because no matter how well i do in the placement games i get chucked in iron anyways because i never play ranked. when i then try to climb... i witness teams so horrible i get tilted to shit. i want to play support. i like playing thresh... but it seems to be that even when our lane goes great.... theres always someone or multiple someones that just feed their asses of. people tell me to just play mid or jgl or whatever. but i dont want to rely on a role i dont want to play to rank up.. whats the point of playing ranked then if i cant rank up playing the role i'm good at. I dont wanna sound to demeaning but i know i im good enough to at LEAST play in gold, every ranked game just removes my will to live, and definitely my will to play ranked/league in general...

If you are so good on thresh, buy mobile boots early, then roam and carry the game by influencing the whole map.

find a good duo partner! or a more convenient way is to ask your friends to kindly play with you on an alternate account that is either unranked or bronze/silver ! honestly looking at your champ pool i can tell you like support so look at blitzcrank/zyra/naut. these are very good to run currently with most adcs. Morgana is also a really good support for adcs to follow up on binds or vice versa. hope this helps! Any questions, ask me <3

learn the basics. no im not joking and no im not trying to insult. 90% in low elo have no idea when/what their powerspike is, what their spells and items do etc.

It's Silver, it's crazy . If you are good at your role, you will eventually climb out, seeing that your playing support find a adc you do well with then just duo, it will help at least one side of the map to win assuming you both do well.

Play AP Klepto Sona, and a hook champion. Maybe sometimes Leona if you think you can 1v2 botlane for 30 seconds(because chances are your solo Q adc will be too brain dead to notice the fight happening until 10 seconds later).

Do not play any enchanters besides sona because while yes they may be good for buffing your allies and boosting your team chances are your team will end up being brain dead and multiplying 0 will always equal 0.

Other option is play only mage supports like brand,zyra,lux and hope you get a good enough game that your team can act like meatshields.

Other than knowing the "basics", you also need to get lucky with matchmaking . Just like you, I prefer the support role and only enjoy playing specific champions which makes it harder to climb. I'm far from being a bad player at my role but as a solo supp main, it's pretty hard to keep a good win rate when your carries demands to FF at 15 because they're 0/4 at 8 mins. It all really depends on your team and how well you can do to help them play better .

I wish there were a better way, but you have to keep playing more games, even if each of all those HUNDREDS of games it might take makes you die inside, until you finally make it. It's literally the only way.

Realistically you just need to play a LOT of games. A whole bunch of Challenger streamers raced from Unranked to Challenger this season, and between all of them they actually have dozens of losses in silver/gold Elo. That's because no matter how infinitely skilled a person is, many games in low elo are pretty much 100% impossible to win. That said, if you play tons of games, it's still possible to climb.

Just think of it this way. 10% of your games are an autoloss and about 90% of your games can be carried by you (this is just an analogy, not real numbers). You just need to win 57% of the time to ACTUALLY have a winrate above 50.

lol i only play support i play dmg supports and just fight all the time for fun and i've made it to gold4 im sure you can do it playing thresh
