Stop being so emotional

For whatever the reason is,over the years i have noticed that players have moved on from being toxic. Instead now they are toxic but also very emotional when it suits them. Any trash talking is worth a report when it suits some of these people. I'm not talking about racist slurs ect. I'm talking about going on a tantrum because you insulted someone's mom...Literally i had a guy add me into his friends list just to get back at me with stuff like...''I'm defending her honor''. Never have i ever had encountered an individual like this. People got no spine today.T his community at one moment is calling death threats on you and at a blink of an eye they go full white knight SJW as soon as it suits them. Being reported and then getting a chat restrictions for saying GG EZ is this even real now ? GG EZ is now offensive to people...Really grow a spine and stop taking shit so seriously. I got nothing against Toxicity instead i encourage it. People talking shit is one of the best parts of being part of any online community not just video games. You can meet some of the most deranged and hilarious people the online world has to offer and i fucking love it. But today try any of that and you get banned. Game devs should not have the audacity to ban players for talking shit in the chat. Especially if you paid for the game.It just ruins the community and a good example of this is Donkey getting banned because he told a guy that was inting on ranked ''Malphite you are a fucking worthless braindead scumfuck bastard pile of trash mental dickface that should be gunned down in the streets like the degenerate you are''. Like come on that's the best shit i ever heard. The day he quit making League of Legends content was a loss to the community. Sincerely i hope that Malphite got bullied out of playing League of Legends. You don't agree with just go watch some trolling on X BOX live videos or Call of Duty Trolling from 2012 and tell me that's not some of the best shit you ever seen. Players being toxic and trash talking is one the best things you can ever be apart of. And at the end of the day point is:

  1. GameDevelopers stop banning people for talking trash. 2.People who get hurt and offended from people talking trash to them. What the fuck are you doing on the internet...Grow a spine or just don't go anywhere near anything that has a chat in it. 3.Have a nice day.

I always found it funny when, "grow a spine and stop taking shit seriously" immediately vacates the premises the instant the person proclaiming that gets little upset or annoyed.

Trash-talking has always been punishable. Banter is not. There's a key difference between the two, which is that banter is playful teasing and trash-talking is insulting or belittling. If you find yourself getting punished, chances are that your behavior is leaning more on the unacceptable side of things.

I also wouldn't call it being emotional to not want to be insulted or harassed while enjoying my leisure time. It's just rude and irritating, and I have better things to do than have to put up with it.

I didnt read that wall of text, but i agree. People get so emotional over (usually) someone else's performance in a video game. Its pretty pathetic imo.

There's a difference between "being emotional" and "being verbally abused/harassed."

Though I'd have to agree with the notion that people are indeed getting too emotional to any instance of chat that ends up directed at them (example: flipping the actual fuck out when you say "top, focus up and regroup." or even "ez" when you juke someone's shit), your examples are definitely over the line and into the "verbally abusive" category.

I will agree this community feels a helluva lot more fragile than it should be. But it's because of people like Dunkey (and Shaclone...and even Jensen) that people, apparently including yourself, believe that straight up hate speech and verbal abuse is ok, and it's because of the victims of their cases that everyone now has to walk on something more fragile than eggshells because at this point, almost anything can be seen as some form of harassment or attempt to demean someone. There's a balance between playful banter and/or constructive criticism, and attempting to verbally tear up someone's asshole. One is meant to tease, one is meant to help you learn, and one is, even as a joke, meant to make someone feel like shit. If you're trying to make someone feel like shit in an online game, and then sit there and say "oh, they just cant take a joke", that's victim shaming.

And it's because of victim shaming that everyone else has such a god-awful victim mentality that people can't experience even normal criticism or banter in this game anymore.

Honestly I report both the trash talking and the people "defending themselves" if they fucking talk for 90 percent of the game. Also, no saying only ggEZ won't get you banned unless you spam it so often that it would be considered spamming.

They don't play, they just bitch at each other. At best they ruin a game that was perfectly winnable by being more focused on winning a chat war then a game.

A toxic person is not as bad for your win rate as a troll is but they do tend to drop your win rate if they start flaming.

I also hate both groups equally.

The people that get so offended that they track people down and bitch for hours are annoying and insecure and really should learn to not engage trolls. They waste time making the people that attack them feel better because they think that counter flaming somehow convinces them to change. In a way they are just as toxic, but more self righteous.

In an ideal world there would be no trolls, but there are and they should at least accept that.

However, the other group, the flamers is also bad. They are the group that feel that just because they are not offended others should not be either. They feel that annoying everybody is just free speech and that everybody should just listen to their hours of bitching on both the jungler and the toplaner.

They are so offended by their free speech being restricted that they are not on a discussion forum or writing a trollpost but are instead in a video game. When they get banned they go like: "calling my team boosted r*****s" is just freedom of speech and you are fighting my constitutional rights. The video game chat isn't your free-form comedy flame platform. It is there to communicate about strategies and maybe some mild shit talking(which won't get you banned unless you do it quite a lot in a game).

In an ideal world nobody would ever be offended by what they say, but some people get offended and they should accept that.

Both sides are incredibly annoying and waste my time by ruining my time by not playing. I want them banned just like I would want to ban scripters/inters/trolls.
