Can I receive a chat restriction?

I was recently banned for 14 days due to toxicity. When I was unbanned, I tried muting everyone in the game to avoid getting extremely irritated and thus flame. I do not want to be toxic again. However, muting everyone only goes so far. There hits a point where you need to communicate with them, and they need to communicate with you. I feel as though receiving a chat ban will help me only type in chat if I absolutely need to and would not waste it on useless flaming content that I am still tempted to write sometimes. Again, I do not want to be toxic again and I do not want to flame anyone anymore. But I am still feeling tempted because some people just say or do things to trigger you on purpose even if they know it is detrimental to you and the team. I believe around a 65-game chat restriction will help me 'reform', for lack of better words, so that it will become a habit for me to only type when I need to.

I don't see what the problem is.

If something you are about to say isnt either postive, or informative, dont say it. if someone says something that doesnt follow those criteria, mute them.

Why don't you contact Riot through a support ticket and ask for a chat restriction?

If a player is actually asking for it, I don't see why they would say no.... unless they don't want you to be reformed, because then you would probably get perma banned, make a new account, and then spend money on that account. Thus, more $$$ in Riot's pocket at the end of the day.

They actually profit from perma banning players LOL.

It would be interesting to have a client option that disables your ability to type in chat. Once a game is initialized, the option cannot be changed for the current game.
