Late Game Inting

If a player has been doing their part all game but somewhere around 30 minutes into a close, heated game they die a couple times and get "bored" or "tired" of the game and decide that they're going to stop trying.

How does riot deal with these selfish players who ruin the game for their teammates? How are they flagged and put into a separate qeue? is these even a factor? Does riot consider these people a problem or are they just considered people who display "normal" human behavior?

These silent inters seem to never get punished while the people that call out their unsportsmanlike and selfish attitude do.

Players who intentionally feed at any point of the game are given bans from the game - 14 days on first offense and then permanent on subsequent offense

I had this happen in a match at the end of last season. My team managed to knock out all three inhibitors and was pushing to win, but the enemy respawned in time and was able to ace us. I was worried about a comeback push, but the enemy jungler apparently didn't want to play from a three-inhibitor deficit and simply ran it down mid. We were able to respawn and push to win 5v4, so he only ever fed the one death. I reported him after the game and got an immediate notification about it, and confirmed that he was banned for at least two weeks by checking his match history later.

All that to say, while I'm sure it's tougher to distinguish than somebody dying 100% of a game, it's not impossible to catch and punish.

Feeding in the way you described is probably not going to be dealt with as reliably as more extreme forms of feeding, but it's not immune to punishment.

I have myself seen the replay of somebody who was banned for feeding with there being exactly one instance of feeding at the peak of frustration with their team. They even resumed playing normally after that and still, they did not escape punishment.
