Queue dodging penalty should not apply across a different game mode

For example, If I dodge an ARAM game, I shouldn't be able to queue up for another ARAM until the timer runs out. However, I don't think this same queue penalty should apply to other game modes, such as normals, ranked, etc. I believe that these queue timers should only apply to the specific game mode that has been dodged. What are your thoughts on this proposal? I don't think it would hard to implement and would still allow people to play the game.

It would hardly be a penalty then if you could avoid it just by switching modes.

So then i could just go from one game mode to another dodging games and by the time i come back to the first queue i dodged my timer will be done.

Yeah it should. Don't dodge games and you won't get the penalty.

the only one i can say is ranked tbh, but only the actual LP penalty;

now i AM NOT advocating saying it shouldnt be punished, just not for switching norms to ranked. to elaborate, its basically because dodging a normal game or aram, then switching to ranked and dodging (ie, because your teamcomp seems bad) it WILL count as a second dodge, subtracting 10 lp.

what i think is that you keep the timer but should not face the tier 2 penalty until you've actually dodged a ranked game twice.

I disagree. It wouldn't much of a penalty if you could just switch modes until you're satisfied with the outcome, and while I get that sometimes you may feel queue dodging is unavoidable there still needs to be a system in place that discourages that behavior period and doesn't allow people to bypass the penalty by simply switching game modes (and thereby annoying and inconveniencing the regular players of those other modes). It's the same concept for why account punishments aren't mode specific, as players shouldn't be able to get out of being held accountable by simply switching modes and being free to misbehave and create a negative environment for the regulars in said modes just because it's not their normal mode of play.

If you don't want the penalty then don't dodge games, it's that simple.
