Account compromised and now I'm banned

Hi all,

Has anyone else had their account compromised and banned due to 3rd party software? I had a couple people message me to tell me today that my account was Solo Queue-ing but I was never on or near a computer. I also don't Solo (I play with friends primarily for SR), especially on the champions the perpetrator chose since I mainly practice in normals. I quickly changed my password on my phone and a few hours later, I got an email that let me know that I was banned for 3rd party tampering in the client. Is there any chance that I might be able to get the ban lifted? (I opened a ticket already)

Yes. Make sure that your ticket talks about the account being compromised and list every game that you're sure wasn't you. Even provide match history links so that there is no question which games you're talking about.

From there you can ask support to check for cheating again after excluding those games.

If you send a ticket to support just claiming that you weren't cheating you're less likely to get anywhere.

Stuff like this has been resolved. Here's a recent case where the OP had the same problem as you.

I just checked and it seems like they've played two games within the last couple of hours so it's fair to assume that they got everything resolved.

Update: Resolved.

Pressing them to manually check each game in the match history and check for suspicious log-ins persistently each day on top of your tips really helped.

Had it happen to me about a month back. They fixed it in under an hour
