How to fix ranked griefing

Literally, if someone has a ratio of 0/8, 0/9 or 0/10, the game should be reviewed and the player should either be banned because they were griefing or auto demoted because regardless of matchup or experience difference no one is that bad. It would encourage people to actually not run it down when they get tilted or face real consequences. It just gets ridiculous getting punished when every game you get one player who decides to run it down because there are currently no repercussions. #makerankedactuallycompetitve

One off game should not result in an auto demote for anyone. Yes, players can be bad - but there are also players that simply have bad games. Hell, I've had bad games where I don't get a single kill and have a very low number of assists with 8+ deaths. I've had games where I've been voted most honorable because I carried the team with a KDA worse than what you're suggesting is an autodemote.

KDA simply cannot be used as the sole factor for any form of griefing/inting report unless it is so bad as to be impossible for the player to not have ran it down lane and died every time they were alive. That is a much higher number of deaths than 10.

There are quite a few repercussions for inting and griefing - I'll copy Prandine here as he aggregated them pretty well:

Not sure if auto-demote is a bit harsh, but I agree something like 1/18/0 doesn’t sound like”just a bad game” and deserves some type of punishment

Meh... you’re kinda on the right track...

But maybe something more like a demotion series instead. If your death average over the past 10 games is 6-8 or something like that, and your win rate is below 50%, you get put in a demotion series.

If, within those 3 games ONLY (no consideration of any previous games, stats are exclusive to the 3 game demotion series) if you continue to have a 6+ death average and < 50% win rate in those three games — you’re automatically demoted to the middle of the next division down.

At zero lp division 5, under the same circumstances but with 5 games — you lose a rank.
