Can we talk about player punishment?

Hello, i am an unranked league of legends player, I don't mean to sound toxic or anything but I have been playing this game for a pretty long time now and i have encountered many intentional feeders, trolls, racists, 9 year old kids with rage issues and more. Not surprisingly i report these people but none of them have ever actually gotten banned and i just can't figure out why. I did some research about league reports and i discovered report score, I realized when i started league i would report people almost every game because usually someone on my team went 3/9/1 or whatever and i would call that intentional feeding even if it was just a bad game and they were actually trying, so this affected my report score quite a bit and now that i am a fairly tilt-proof player but when someone tells me "KYS you ****ing braindead piece of ****" and i report them they don't get punished and it feels very unfair how they get to say stuff like that and not be chat restricted or banned because i was once a noob. Please find a way to fix the report system Riot, and if someone knows how to help please tell me.

Thankfully, you don't have to worry about report scoring, as it no longer exists. Your reports do not have less weight based on how many incorrect reports you file - if you report someone, the IFS will review them, and potentially punish them.

You won't always get a message telling you that someone you reported got punished, though. Just keep doing what you're doing, reporting players who you feel are breaking the rules - you may not know it, and we may not ultimately see it, but you're doing the community at large a service, regardless of any invalid reports you've filed in the past.

So here is how the system works:

  1. Get a report
  2. Grade the player for toxicity, 0=No toxicity and 100=used hate speech
  3. Add the grade to their behvaior history (same grade for that game regardless of number of reports)
  4. If they pass 100 points, they'll get punished.

You'll only see a punishment notification if the game you reported them is in their reform card. Reform card shows 1-5 recent games as examples of unacceptable behavior. So if they get punished after a few days, chances are you won't see the notification, but your report did assist in judging the person.

Last I heard, report score isn't a thing anymore.

I can't explain why people don't get punished. My best guess is they aren't consistently toxic.

If you are curious, do an experiment. Create a new account. Say "KYS" one time only. See if you get punished.
