unfair punishment for dodging ranked que's

i was in a ranked que and my support "accidentally" locked in akali to support our kog-maw.... i didnt really see this working and figured that since it was an "accident" id rather put myself in a position where my team would have a chance instead of the gong show that i was about to go through.... i get we have to be punished for dodging que's and stuff but i think that both an LP reduction AND a "x" amount of min wait for next que is unfair

Instead maybe have just one? anybody else have thoughts? idk i just really wanted some peel for the squishy ass adc lol

neither the time or the LP should be relevant if you do this once or twice a week. You shouldn't mind it. If you do it on a regular basis it can hurt, but that's what it should do.

I mean even this little "punishment" gave you enough reason to write this post, seems it made you uncomfortable which is exactly what it should do. If you wouldn't mind the punishment then it wasn't good enough.

It's to punish those that will perma dodge until they get a team they like, making queue times longer for everyone. I think it's fair the way it is. For the one or two times you have to dodge, it's not that big of a punishment (-3lp and 5 minutes)

One of the guys on The Dive—I think Kobe—said he works one queue dodge per day into his ranked strategy. If you see a no-doubt loss coming, soak your -3 LP and move on to the next game, or call it for the day if you don't want to another one happening.

For people intent on moving up, the LP penalty would be enough to discourage dodges. But if it was just LP loss and no time, some people would purposely dodge their way down the ranks in order to pick on people far below their skill level. Yes, Riot could institute a rule, but it makes more sense to just limit how often someone is able to do it.
