Lets make Riot think about who the Customer is and who the Serrvice Provider

Hello Boy and Girls,

so the Topic I wanna talk today is, how Riot Games over the Years forgot, to make their Customers (the Summoners), who are the Reason why they are making a crazy amount of Money, happy and satisfied.

When I first started to Play LoL in Season 2 LoL was a very nice Game like it is today, but what is way more important, the Summoners had the Feeling to interact with the Service Provider. Riot Games watched and listened to the Summoners and tried really hard and with love and heart to get their Community satisfied and happy.

Today, 6 Seasons later a lot has changed. I know and I will say Riot Games did a very great Job in so many Things like the Graphics, the other Play Modes, the Champions, the Items, the Cinematics, the Stories and Pretty much all Thing which are related to the Gameplay of this Game.

But there is some big Issues we should really talk About before this Game will lose all his Hype and Community, because someone will once accuse Riot Games for their behavior. Since Money Plays a bigger Role for the Service Provider, Riot Games is obviously keeping a far distance to their community. They make Prestige Skins, only reachable with Money. (Prestige Aatrox for at least 120 $ no other animations no other look just a Chroma from the Blood Moon Skin !!!!). The really clearly insufficient banning System with a very unfair and really strict rule System which is just discussed from so many People losing their accounts in which they Paid crazy amounts of money but get ignored for years. And the Qeueing System, that is very poorly conceived and has not been changed or updated or got better since the very beginning.

But some Moderators here will tell, that These Arguments are just my own opinion so lets give them a few Exapmples for every Topic i meantioned.

The stingy character of Riot Games:

Ever since the Summoners Play this Game, they loved Riot Games. No ptw, Game is ftp, so u can buy Skins and loots to support them and give them oppurtunities to make the Game way better and bigger as it was. But since Riot Games took this distance to their Players not listening to their clear opinions and Ideas how to make some good changes in the Game, the Community started to hate Riot Games. They stopped spending so much Money on the Game or dont felt interested or understood in the Game anymor because they dont have to anymore. In 2017 Riot Games made a Sales of 2 BILLION DOLLARS compared to PUBG wich made 735 Million Dollar in the same Year this is just ridicilous. I mean how can they earn so much Money and cant fix their Issues, which are making Players with low range and Players with a gigh Publicity so mad about this Service Provider?

**The sad banning System of Riot Games: ** I truly understand, that this Game needs a banning System and in the one Hand I personally am completly okay with it. The Community especially in Europe is very toxic and very abusing. U almost Need a very strong menthal to Play on that Server. What brings us to the most important Question for this Topic: How can there be so many toxic players out there which are writing and abusing the other players on the madest way they possibly could, when the system is so "perfect" and "strict"? Clearly the banning System is insufficient defectiv and more than incorrect. If u are a toxic Player till the end u will get a 10 Games Chat restrict. After that u will get for the next 1 mistake u make a 25 Games Chat restrict. And after that u will get for the next 1 mistake a 14 days ban and for another mistake a perma ban. With mistakes i mean also Chats like "report xy for trolling pls" or "ez" or "why are u doing this?" or "ok thats it i am out" or "wtf are u doing can u explain?" and so on. These are btw the lines Riot send me as Arguments for my 14 days ban. That means, if i get in a game, with a guys who for example Plays Darius as jungle (which is clearly a troll) u cant write something like "pls report darius for trolling" because I will get a perma ban for that and will lose hundreds of Dollars i Paid for my acc. FOREVER. There was Players wishing my mom Cancer but get nothing ! I have Proofs. But tbh Its a online Game. Ist completly normal, that u Chat in a way with People u would do like if u Play Football with them. like "where the fuck did u throw that ball dude?". Did u ever see a Referee come to a Player and give him a yellow Card for that ? i mean the Community is between 15-30. What do u expect ? Why dont fix that Issue with perma Chat restrict or giving the Gamers the opportunity to buys their accounts back for Maybe 200$ or something so they learn from it? The banned Players hate Riot. Create new accs and be more tilted than before flaming further.

Qeue Issues of Riot:

So imagine that. U get in the queu. The gamequestion Pops off. U press accept. U get to champ select. And someone dodges. After 8 Players locked Champ made their runes rdy and stuff. Than u are in the qeue again. This happens over and over again in a row till u are autofilled. You will never see this in any other online game. Why is there no System like in other games? When we are in the Champ select and someone dodges. Give him the low priority, Ist completly okay. But why u throw all Players outta there? Just throw him out and fill his playce with another for example "jungle" So noone is harmed. Why they dont invest their Money in such Problems? Are they too lazy to work on it or are they too snooty.. i mean it cant be an Money issue for sure. Why would u harm ur community like that spending so much Money on ur stuff and really loving and spreading ur game for ist unique Gameplay?

I am not asking any Moderators. I am asking Riot Games personally. I am asking Steve Feak, Tom Cadwell, Colt Hallam, Christina Norman and Rob Garrett. Why did ur Mindset change over the years??

Summoners if u are on the same side, pls let me know and help spread the message. If u are not, let me know ur thoughts.

The system isn't perfect and cannot be perfect. No one expects it to be flawless, because that is simply impossible to achieve.

That means, if i get in a game, with a guys who for example Plays Darius as jungle (which is clearly a troll) u cant write something like "pls report darius for trolling" because I will get a perma ban for that and will lose hundreds of Dollars i Paid for my acc. FOREVER.

Why would that indicate that a player is trolling? Unless their intent is to actually troll, you cannot just label them like that. Besides, why would you type stuff like "report X for Y reasons"? It serves no purpose. One report is enough to trigger an investigation - more change nothing. Not to mention that you won't get suspended for typing that, provided you're not going out of your boundaries and abusing another player.

Permanent chat restrictions used to be a thing, but were found to be futile. Players simply resorted to other kinds of illicit behaviour to vent their anger. Also, allowing people to buy their accounts back wouldn't teach them anything. It would simply promote the idea of being allowed to break the rules, just because you have money.

Losing everything, however, teaches you that there are severe consequences for your actions. It wouldn't make much sense if you could just undo all of your mistakes with money.

My guess is because the MMR system tries very hard to make balanced games. You'll actually end up with a lot longer of a wait time if you want the system to wait not only until it finds a Jungler, but also until it finds a Junger of the right MMR to balance that game. It's faster, as a result, to pop you out of lobby.

Indeed. The more money they get, the less they care. It is a feature in every company.

honestly im okay with them punishing for chat, but it should only be moderated to an extent.

The system is fairly easy to bypass.

The banned Players hate Riot. Create new accs and be more tilted than before flaming further.

Yeah, the system is kind of flawed. It needs adjustments. Banning verbally toxic players seems to lead into them creating new accounts and being toxic in an environment where there are new players.

Yes, they cater everything to the customer in an effort to make money. However, the customer is not necessarily you. Here’s a hint: Ever heard of the term, “the silent majority”? Only a small fraction of the playerbase, even those who spend money on the game, actually visit the Boards or Reddit.

I think OP doesn't understand how big companies function these days.

For big companies, their real customers are not the clients, but their shareholders and sponsers.

In the case of game devs, players are often just variables in an money making equation like a machine in a factory line, all in service to the real client of shareholders and sponsers by producing more and more revenue to please them, which they in term would be willing to invest the real cash and other industry benefits. If there is a method that could earn more cash, then the game dev would be pressured to do it; it doesn't matter if it's in service of game dev's gamer, because nobody gives a shit if factory line machines are happy with their position. And let's just put it this way: Producing a nice game to make the players happy and hopefully get some money off them from skin sales and whatnot is not nearly as profitable as exploiting the gullible, the whales, and the ignorant who are still preordering games; and we get today's climate.

Call it one of the problems of a capitalist society driven by a culture that appreciates nothing but maximum profit; but within this society that follows such rules, such situation is true and ultimately unavoidable.
