Why this game is truly dying

This corrupted community is all based around being the whitest knight and the one with the most friends.

Was in a game where 3 vitenamese guys started spamming in all chat the N word (A LOT).Reported them, not because they were saying the N word, but because they were spamming it constantly.Because there were 3 of them, and 1 of myself, the reports didnt go through (Hmmm). However, in ONE GAME, ONE SINGLE GAME, the only offensive thing I said was for someone to jump off a bridge and start bungee-jumping.The rest was just me being vocal and expressing my opinion in a game where CHAT EXISTS.Got permanently banned.First offense after I redeemed myself.

This game is dying not because aggressive people don't get banned (RIOT actually does a great job at keeping those at bay) but because trolls, passive-aggressive people DON'T.

Another flaw in this system, which I've been noticing for the past couple of years, is the amount of people involved in it.If one person reports 5 people, allegedly all 5 of them being toxic, those people aren't going to get punished at all.I've never experienced reporting even 2 toxic people in the same game (They were out right just saying "KYS", not masking it like I did), and not get the announcement that they got penalized.

It makes me think that this game is really eager to punish you if you use the in-game chat.If it's so, then remove it.Add EVEN MORE pings, emotes, whatnot, to have a more varied nonverbal communication system.

The community itself is also extremely cancerous. Some have adapted to the "outright offensive" environment, by becoming hungry fishes, swarming around someone they can harass. You say "Fuck you, you piece of shit, you didn't gank my lane", and they'll find the opportunity to exploit that anger. It makes you wonder why dunkey quit this game a long time ago.

One more point to add.If you are suicidal, any person with common sense would know that League of Legends is surely not a therapy session.Toxic people aside, playing a champion that you love and getting slapped in the face constantly with the 0/x score, where x can be any number between 3 and 15, you will get stressed and frustrated, even if you don't feel depressed to begin with.If a suicidal person goes through this thing 5 times in the same day, I'm sorry to say but he'll fall into depression again, thinking he's useless at everything he does, he's an overall loser, not only irl but in a virtual "perfect" world, as well, thinking "oh man, I thought we'd win this, but then again, everything I say goes against me, like everything else in this world" and " no wonder nobody likes me, I'm bad at everything, I'd be better off dead".

If you are suicidal, talk to your parents or to a professional. At the same time, if you are suicidal (not just any attention seeker that cuts their wrists and the next day comes with short sleeve T-shirts (in the middle of Fall)), and playing this game or any game you would either: a) Not care at all, as you're already in the worst state of depression and if you'd want to die, you would do it regardless of what strangers tell you b) You would definitely not start spamming in chat "reported, hope you get permabanned, haha, meanwhile, even though you are trying to explain why you said that, discuss about it, trying to redeem yourself or even saying sorry, I'd still report you cause seeing KILL YOURSELF makes me really ANGRY GRRR", you would start asking yourself questions, suppress your feelings untill you burst into tears and have an inner fight between suicidal thoughts and hope.

This game is only fun while leveling. That's why I'm not even mad I got banned, I ain't mad cause other people didn't get banned, I am mad cause people PRETEND to be offended just to do others harm, when in real life they might use those words more frequently than those whom they reported. It makes me mad because they assume suicidal people, (probably even gay people or black people seeing the f and the n words.Even though they have all the right to get offended by those words as these words carry historical meaning, some just laugh it off and really don't care as they're at base just words) would react in the same way as they do, playing the victim card when they get the chance to do so.Hypocrisy is fine.People are ever-changing.Malice, although unnoticeable, is way worse and as I'm seeing it, people tend to become more and more insesitive, egocentric and focused on doing harm while keeping the peaceful mask on, which makes me think if we really need human-like androids.

https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752884-Reporting-a-Player

THINGS TO AVOID Do not threaten or repeatedly tell a player you will report them. Doing so can encourage players who are already negative to continue their behavior. Whether they know they are being reported or not has no bearing to whether the system will act on them. But most importantly, repeatedly threatening or arguing with a negative player can end up derailing the game for everyone else and then open yourself up to reports and possible disciplinary action as well. Avoid negative thoughts and useless chatting with poor performing teammates! Focus on victory by muting the offending player and then reporting them at the end of the game.

Do not ask other players in the match to report the offending player. It only takes one report for our systems to review a game. Additional reports will not do anything for the offending player; however as mentioned above, it could open yourself up to a report of your own; especially if you are derailing the match by constantly demanding reports of other players

Negative behavior is unacceptable regardless of the circumstances or who started it. It can be tempting to respond to negative players with negativity of your own. Our systems do not care who started the behavior and will treat each reported player based off the merits of their own case. The only way to handle these types of players is to mute them and continue playing the game followed by giving them a report at the end of the match.

However, in ONE GAME, ONE SINGLE GAME, the only offensive thing I said was

prove it! post your chatlogs!

This game is dying not because aggressive people don't get banned (RIOT actually does a great job at keeping those at bay) but because trolls, passive-aggressive people DON'T.

they actually do but ar much harder to detect than the verbal abusers particularly sinceit's not realistic to expect riot to manually review every single game that is thrown their way in order to determine who is a troll and who is just bad at the game

Another flaw in this system, which I've been noticing for the past couple of years, is the amount of people involved in it.If one person reports 5 people, allegedly all 5 of them being toxic, those people aren't going to get punished at all.I've never experienced reporting even 2 toxic people in the same game (They were out right just saying "KYS", not masking it like I did), and not get the announcement that they got penalized.

you don't always get notified even if a punishment occured. it is a FACT

Hypocrisy is fine.

i'm somehow not surprised by this statement given the rest of your post

Learn your lesson and become a true master!. Yes sometimes chat can look difficult and you can become a prey of someones negative behavior, but still its always in your best interest to stay positive regardless whats happening. When the s#!@ has hit the fan really heavy like you mention in first lines, depends on your cold blood the best solution here could be = just close the game and accept afk penalty instead of giving them and most important holding for yourself that vital energy you're investing into the game. For peace of mind and relaxation bro eat some healthy foods like kiwi, strawberries and raspberries with glass of water daily. Thank you for reading this, have a great day. summoner 1

P.S Yes problem with toxicity exist but don't worry Riot is working very hard every day to make this game colorful and beautiful as much as they can this includes, getting rid off players with toxic behavior just scroll down this "player behavior category" and take a look how much good stuff was done. League of Legends is growing and becoming "a something better" every year, i can see that clearly been here for many years. Its gonna be only better so don't bother yourself too much. Another great solution to improve mood is buy some new skins play new lanes new champions. Things will get better eventually if you just stay cool. Take care bro. summoner 7
