Mute option in game should negate bans?

If people have the power to mute someone who is being "toxic" in chat why is it even an option to get banned for something you type up? I understand inting, AFk, and other in game things that make sense to ban but just because someone takes something someone types up so serious and that they have to "tilt" or "int cuz you said lol rekt" is not fair. Sorry if my English is bad it is not my first language. Example . If i die to first blood and my team said " dam noob fkn feeding already" i would respond by "lol ikr" and in my head lol and get back to lane without ever thinking twice about what anyone typed. Now if i was someone else and it hurt me so bad i HAVE THE OPTION TO MUTE and never read what in my opinion was "toxic" material. Now lets make this clear im not defending toxic players im just trying to see if anyone else sees what i am talking about. I feel like sometimes people are to soft for this game and the mute option is a perfect example of how to "defend" yourself from these "harmful" words. So my opinion is riot should send out small messages like when you get new mission for people who are frequently reporting verbal and harassment ( i mean like every game always crying about someone harassing them when its really not that serious") that there is an option to mute. Not just a tip every 20 games about the option to mute but an actual message for those who are frequently offended by letters on a screen. The fact that its hard to play a game without 2 people crying to each other about who said what is getting so bad that we cant just blame the one dude who first said something we should try to fight it from both sides learn to mute just like people should learn to play nice. RIP to English grammar and spelling.

Existance of bulletproof vests should negate punishments for shooting people.

Imagine the following scenario. I invite you to hang out with my group of friends. Everything starts off well but after some time you start insulting them and treating them like shit. Even though they don't care about your opinion, because you're just a stranger to them, they likely don't want me to invite you to hang out again.

Same thing happens in League. Some people, like me, couldn't care less about what some random toxic player is saying in chat, but me and my group of friends, in this case the community, don't want to play with you again.

It really is that simple.
