Add a Mute-Button directly to the in-game chat

Hi there.

It is League of Toxic, we all know it and we all have experienced it. Anyone who disagrees is suspect to being megatoxic him-/herself.

My suggestion is, that whenever someone posts something in chat, there should be the mute possibility directly attached to it, so that you can instantly mute that player without opening the player score screen and searching during the game. My thought is, that behind every message of another player, there would directly be a small mute button attached. I know it is only a slight short-cut, but nevertheless it is one that i find of uttermost importance and significance. It sometimes is a matter of split-seconds before you might get tilted yourself.

Of course i know about the commands of /mute all etc. U can mute all pings as well. But it is not the same and not what i specifically want, as League should be a game of communication in a team. It is just when the communication turns negative that i want to mute someone. Muting everyone in advance is helpful against toxicity, but it provides a block to all positive communication as well and has a severe downside imo.

If Riot seriously wants to improve anything against the toxicity and hate in the game, well, this is your go, consider my suggestion.

Cheers and have a nice day @all. Now go ahead and flame me, like the noob i am... ;-)

I've been waiting for that post-lobby mute option for a while now.

This is hardly effective nor efficient. Unpopular opinion here, you should be able to control yourself enough to make that one extra keystroke to mute someone.

If you wanna drop some salt in the chat before you do it, just let them know they're muted. It's not verbally harrassing or assaulting and it's not griefing either, then proceed to mute them.

You get to let some frustration off, by telling someone how insignificant all of their whining and crying will be from this point on + You get to have 1 less toxic person in chat.

All I want regarding mutes is that I don't want this person to be unmuted ever again. AFAIK a "mute" ingame corresponded to a block a few seasons back. And if someone was blocked, you wouldn't see their messages in post game lobbys.

Sometimes people are so toxic and whiny, they add you AFTER the game, just to try to spam you with insults and then insta-unfriending you so they can't be reported for what they said. It's actually sad. Obvious solution - Don't accept their friend requests. But still. I want my mutes to be "Block" again. No more post game lobby whining about how my mum will die or some stupid cringy shit.

That'd be great.

You can disable both chats from the Options :)

Actually, if one of the goals of the game is to mute everyone, why having a chat ? Why not remove this useless chat only used to insult, flame, and say ez ? And in the post-game lobby, why muted toxics are still able to open their big mouth to say shit ? It's not like Rito cared about their toxic community, they don't give a fuck about real players trying to play just to have fun. They even add the possibility to flame with the mic on now (Not that i'll ever use that stupid thing ever, but still)
