Reports & Punishments

Nothing like getting a ban for raging at a intentional feeder on the team. Told him to go kill himself for being such a piece of shit in a ranked game and I get the ban. OKAY SEEMS LEGIT BRO, THANKS.

But this made me think, why are there not hard enough consequences for this kind of shit? It seems like no matter how well you play, no matter how many games you play, no matter how much you try to keep a cool head, these assholes are always around and never go away and if you say anything negative or rage in any way at them you're the one that gets hit and they just seemingly never go away.

Which gave me an idea as to how to get rid of this shit once and for all. Tie each account to a credit card and impose real life penalties, not just account penalties, to the accounts and bank account holders and watch how fast this shit gets straighted out.

As of right now, if you don't follow the rules, you get a ban and lose a colored flower above your border...Big fucking whoop. Who actually gives a shit? I get you're trying to combat the issue, but you're doing it with half measures and tip toeing around the issue all the while losing more and more paying customers and players while you don't go full throttle and step on the throats of these assholes that continue to fuck the game up for everyone that ones to play ranked and play it seriously.

So, to recap, make in mandatory that in order to play ranked that there must be a credit card linked to the account, update your TOS reflecting the punishment and incrementally increase the punishment with a real life monetary value attached to each offense.

I don't mind losing if the game was fought fairly, even if a lot of mistakes were made, what I have a problem with is the never ending pieces of shit that continue to just never go away no matter how many reports they get yet if you rage at them for doing some asshole shit you get the ban instead.

How about trying not to rage at anyone?

This is an awful, terrible idea and here are the reasons:

  1. You can only get a credit card if you're 18+ (Might be different in other countries I don't know)

  2. Pretty sure imposing actual fines on people requires some kind of law

  3. Even IF it were possible to enact such a policy, Riot would never consider it because it wouldn't only chase the trolls away, it would chase everyone away.

You really should have thought a bit longer and harder on this idea before posting it, the examples I give for reasons not to are glaringly obvious.

Whew am I happy some people aren't part of the riot team.

Not a fan of using BrBa to put forth an absurd idea. Even with this, you'll still have the same problem.

There is no way to 100% prevent any person from trolling/ being toxic in game. Nothing would keep me from doing it in the very next game if I so chose. Aside from that, ppl could just use visa gift cards.

Riot, I think would be in a lot of trouble and heat for this, definitely. It's an unviable and outright too extreme solution to a problem, which will possibly cause not only more toxicity but a lot of calls to Riot's office and a sharp dive in players. This is just me, however. Plus; this game is 13+, there are kids who don't have credit cards. Would they just... not be allowed to play?
