Is this punishable?

Posting this for my friend since she doesnt frequent the boards much.

She just got out of a game where someone on her team hovered Yasuo. He was close to last pick and nobody on their team was willing to pick him first to swap. My friend hates Yasuo and was worried theyd pick him on the enemy team so she banned him.

Yasuo proceeded to harass her and ban her hover in return. She knows how to play multiple champs in her lane so she wasnt mad about that but Yasuo then said "I'm reporting you enjoy the ban and the loss" and proceeded to play a champ hes never played before and ran it down mid the first 6 minutes of the game, being 0/8 within 6 mins.

They obviously lost the game and the Yasuo said in post game lobby to report he because she banned his intended pick. He guaranteed her that she will get banned for "targeted harassment". She doesnt use chat at all and muted him when the game began and didnt speak to him at all in pre or post game lobby.

Is this bannable? Intentionally banning someone's hovered champ? She reported the Yasuo but shes worried about her account because shes been playing longer than me and has never gotten punishment before.

He put trust out there that by showing his pick someone wouldn't ban it yet it go banned, his raging afterwards is unacceptable but she should have expected backlash or not getting his best the moment she banned his hovered pick.

In short they are both in the wrong to different degrees.

Intentionally feeding is punishable.

Banning a champion (or not champion) for any reason is not punishable. Bans come before picks. She can ban his, he can ban hers, etc.

Depends.

If she does it all the time to annoy her teammates regardless of what they hover, then eventually it will be counted against her.

If she bans Yasuo all the time, then Riot would see a pattern of it, so it'll will be targeting the champ but not the player, thus it will no longer be "targeted harassment".

What your friend did isn't reportable but it's an easy way to get on people's bad side. What the Trashuo player did is absolutely reportable as it was full on harassment with intentional feeding. Just because people say they will report you and ask for reports, nothing will happen as long as you don't break any rules. And also on top of that it doesn't make a difference if 1 or 9 people report you. I'd have taken screenshots of his toxicity and sent a ticket to support to manually report the player tbh.

It's a bit of a gray area for most players, but Riot has made it clear that banning someone's intentional pick is not punishable. Your friend doesn't have anything to worry about, so don't stress it.

Whether or not you should do it is another matter entirely, and some people have widely varying opinions on that topic.

If it's a tickable box in the report window, especially explicitly, yes. He inted/griefed, which are both explicitly tickable boxes, so yeah, definitely punishable.

In her case, probably not the right decision, but definitely not punishable on its own.

Assuming your friend is telling the full and whole truth, this is virtually certainly intentionally feeding and will be punished. It may take a manual review before such happens, however. So long as your friend reported, they will be reviewed.
