Why can't we all just have fun and enjoy the game

Hey all so I don't understand why players in this community can't just have fun and enjoy the game? I know a lot of players will say "what's more fun than winning", I'm not saying it's not fun to win but there are so many people I've played against who either don't give a shit what you say or are straight bullies. Like my last game I tried to ask my team why everyone's okay with playing a game where players make others feel bad for making a mistake or just their gameplay in general without a care in the world and my teams support told me because that's just how it is and to deal with it. When I tried to explain what I meant by that they got angry with me and told me to stfu and stop being a puss. Like I know most of the players you'll play league with and become "friends" with you won't end up being actually friends with but online no one seems to give a shit if they hurt your feelings especially if you tell them their comments aren't wanted, they just go on to say then don't play. I also hate those people who just tell me you know there's a mute button right? Now here's the thing I know there's a mute button but all you're doing by pressing that button is letting the bully win because although you can't see their comments anymore they're still typing rude, messed up, mean, etc. comments so it's still a toxic game. Then there's those players who flat out get so pissy with you that they tell you to uninstall the game, and you suck and you're the worst player they've ever seen and here's the big one you're retarded. Like those players have made me question on many occasions why I still play league of legends but the reason is because I enjoy the game and even if I'm playing ranked I'm having fun. Also why do a lot of players like to say gg ez, like I don't mind gg wp cuz that's respectful and you're acknowledging that they played well but when you say gg ez you make the enemy team feel like shit cuz you make it sound that game was a waste of your time. Like every one has a bad game but if you have a bad game there's always that one player who gets pissy about it. In conclusion I just don't understand why we all can't just play the game to have fun and use the chat in game for communicating with your team to win the game. I can handle Constructive Criticism but I'd nevertheless love to hear yall's feedback about this discussion.

Because its a competitive game that punishes you for your teammates mistakes.

I just keep playing the way I'm playing and work on getting better. I'm a terrible player, not denying that, but when I do well, I do well because I'm playing the way I play. One time I won a game for my team because I splitpushed an entire lane as tristana. We would have won anyway, but I sped up the process. Just keep playing and you'll get your moment.

People like myself don't play for fun, we are playing because we want to get to challenger and become the best player in the game. When MidToporFeed or an 0-12 Riven gets in my game and ensures that's going to take another game to accomplish, people like myself lose it.

I would honestly never play this game if it were just "for fun". The competition and chance to play the pros if I get good enough is what drives me to play this game. That's the real reason LCS is such a big part of League - feeding people's dreams of becoming the best at something.
