league is so toxic that it makes me depressed

this has been going on for while but after these last 2 normal games i just feel like writing this. i used to love this game i used to play adc alot and loved it but after the new rune system was introduced it just feel like everyone does so much damage ok so this last game i play kogmaw with yuumi as my support against a lulu renekton which kinda tilted me already. seeing that i go 0/3 as the leesin proceeds to camp us and renekton just one shotting me i think w/e as my team was doing pretty well i get a few kills and end up with a score of 4/7 then the renekton and lulu starts to be threat around the map now the jungler starts blaming me calling me r%%%%%ed an inbred and shit i said i tried to do everything i could then my support who was playing fucking yuumi said its my fault that i sucked while she didnt have to do a goddamn thing playing with yuumi now that kinda pissed me off what im trying to say is why are people so goddamn toxic in a normal game i felt like total shit after that game im just gonna mute everybody from now on.

Yikes that matchup sounds like a nightmare. Lulu ulting renekton... scary. Anyways, hope you find a new game to enjoy. Dont continue doing the thing that makes you depressed, for sure.

then you shouldnt play the game. and im not meaning it in a "grow a thicker skin" way, im meaning it in a "when a game makes you depressed, its doing the opposite of what games are made for so dont play it"

From what I understood, the problem is not the game but some of its players, so by all means just mute all if you think that's better. I personally prefer not to, but instead to mute at the slightest hint of toxicity, because there are also many players who are friendly and helpful and I don't want to mute them.

So yeah, don't try to argue, don't wait until they start throwing a lot of insults at you, just mute immediately, and you'll feel way better.

:( Sorry that happened. I'm completely new to playing so I finally decided to try play a real PVP game instead of Bots, and I admittedly did TERRIBLE. This one guy was saying my playing made him want to quit life and "WTF ARE YOU EVEN PLAYING?!" but I didn't respond to him. On the flip side, I killed someone on accident when I set my Ult in the wrong direction (Yes, thats' how new I am LOL) and someone congratulated me, SOOOOOOOOO.....there's some nice players too LOL.

Why not just mute the moment a player starts to go toxic on you? Sick of all these "victim" threads when you can just mute and move on.

i am surprised you get such good reactions on this, not that i disagree but my post got like 22 downvotes for some reason when i said something similar.

anyway, i feel the same way. league of legends is rly making me depressed. i sometimes want to play something with others because there aren't many nice multiplayer games as far as i know so league of legends is the best option because it's a nice game. it's such a shame 95% of the people are toxic in contrary.

it also gives me anxiety attacks often when i play the game which starts to make me play worse. im mainly blaming all the times i "feed" to the toxicity. people here aren't willing to think rational and aren't willing to help each other towards winning. instead it feels like toxic people prefer losing the game. why would you bother to type something stupid in chat instead of working towards winning the game if it's that important to you? sometimes there are "nice" people, and when it does it makes me really happy too because it is so rare (even though i still have to be cautious).
