So I told a friend recently that the reason he ends up with toxic people/trolls all the time is because he himself is very negative and toxic all the time, and he didn't believe stating "This isn't F****ing dota."

Yet several of my other friends have confirmed that yes, if you are positive and dont be negative, the game will probably match you with other positive people more often, which is true?

No its not because of who it matches you with. Like, what you say is true, but not because of that. If you stay neutral/positive, you tend to get more neutral/positive responses from people. If you're the type to say one little negative thing, people are gonna be negative towards you and then you'll notice you see toxic people all the time... because you feed it. Its more a psychological thing, not literally getting matched with like-minded players.

It is not. Riot does not do a prisoner's island system.

Instead, it's mostly just psychology - The more toxic you are the more people tend to get tilted and start trolling. Being toxic also sets yourself in a negative mindset, where you're more likely to notice toxicity and trolling, even where there isn't any. Riot doesn't do it to you, you do it to yourself.
