Is "gay" an offensive and therefore bannable word?

When used in negative context (as an insult for example) it's derogatory towards people who are gay.

Although I do not speak for Riot, in general terms describing something as "gay" when that thing being discussed is actually gay ex: The rainbow flag is gay/symbolizes gayness is not offensive because it is just a statement of fact. On the other hand using "Gay" as an insult ex: you're gay, that's so gay, etc. is offensive because it slanders the meaning of gay and those who identify as gay.

Now what will it take for Riot to ban you? For you to say the word, someone to get offended and report you, and Riot to agree you used the term slanderously.

as people said, depends on the use. i dont think riot would ban you for saying ezreal is gay. just an example.

no
