Perma Ban Criteria
Is mildly passive aggressive chat and the most derogatory insult being "idiot" grounds for perma ban? Putting aside the case of reports build up upon previous adventures is this really deserving of the final Kaboom?

After a 14 day ban for verbal behavior? Sure, it is possible.
I believe you receive a permaban for a fourth offense, regardless of severity. Fair or not, I do not believe severity of chat plays a role. It's riot's world, we are just living in it.
Also you can receive a punishment for far less than "idiot."

You can't receive a permanent ban unless you have a history of punishment. It's not really fair to disregard that history when it's the only thing that could lead to a perma in the first place.
If someone repeatedly breaks the rules and goes through 10 games with their chat restricted, another 25 games with their chat restricted, a full 14 day suspension from the game, and multiple reform cards that explicitly state "Hey, this behavior isn't okay, you need to stop because further infractions **will **result in a permanent ban", I don't really think there's anyone to blame but the player themselves at that point.
Even if they don't agree with the rules and you think they're bogus, you're given ample time to learn what is and isn't violating them.

The system doesn't work by, "X action = Y punishment." The system works by a gradually increasing ladder of punishment. If you had already received a 2-week ban, the next step is a permanent ban.
I mean.. when I appealed my permanent banned account, They told me that your player report card's slate is never wiped. So. I mean yea. Nomatter what ur report card builds up.. its a very bad and uncommunitive system with anti player written all over it, but thats how it was told to me, by the support team on the tickets for my other account.
All i'm aiming to find is opinions on whether this is deserved based on the isolated incidence of calling someone an "idiot" or whether it's slightly harsh, irregardless of the previous history, as this instance itself has to be deemed egregious enough to merit a punishment, it just so happens that this time it was a permanent ban due to previous instances of punishment.
Yeah, that is against the rules, and therefor punishment worthy. If you've had a 14 day ban prior, then it could be a permaban due to circumstance. But if you do get permabanned after saying that, remember, youre not getting perma'd for just that. Youre getting permabanned for showing a lack of willingness or ability to follow the rules over a period of time in which you were given several chances to change your behavior but refused to follow the rules.
