Here's a good one for everyone trying to debate in a civil manner. When speaking directly with a support rep I was more or less instructed to only reply in a manner that would speak on the positive things someone did only. Trying to help them grow, as a player, with non-toxic grammar is frowned upon.
What? I'm sorry but what kind of soft/sad people have we become today? It's like the whole give everyone a participation medal thing but in chat I guess. I've always been a person that wants to bestow knowledge onto others in a positive light. When someone makes a poor play, then flames I try to explain where everything went wrong but always add that it's ok because we are supposed to learn non-stop to better ourselves.
I think my biggest issue is with the community controlled system. That in itself is beyond flawed. Context can't be decided by something that doesn't feel, like artificial intelligence. More so, people can take things as they want and it's not the intent of the person conveying their message. Especially if no foul language is used at all. To me, that's where the line should be drawn. If you're acting a fool and are corrected in a positive manner, then it should be just fine. However, if one is using hurtful language like calling someone an idiot I can understand it not being tolerated.
It just seems our 'filter' is intentionally overly sensitive. I'm not for bashing folks but I'm also not for coddling those who don't deserve it either.
