Being called Salty .. when merely pointing out mistakes constructively

Look Im in bronze. I climb to silver I Climb to gold Im up and down all over the elo system.

MISTAKES DO CAUSE LOSSES.

I make mistakes, my teammates make mistakes.. we all do.

Pointing out peoples mistakes in a nice way and suggesting a change in strategy is not salt.. it;s not harassment. It isn't "not playing the game".

I just had a teammate who tried to contribute our teams losing to me trying my ass off to win, and trying to get our support and jungle to have an impact on the game.

Thats just wrong, and people need to learn the difference between someone trying to be helpful by taling their teammates through rough patches,. Rather than saying "STFU" going into all chat and saying I AMFLAMING ETC..

Low and behold we lost the game, and alot of the mistakes could have been avoided if this guy didn't sit there blowing up chat telling people it was ok..

There's a right way and a wrong way to point out mistakes.

"OMG Cait we need you in team fights stop farming bot"

vs

"Hey Cait can you come mid for a teamfight so we can push?"

Being nice and asking politely almost always gets you what you want.

I've said this consistently, Unsolicited advice is almost always not appreciated and frequently makes the person receiving the advice angry.

Be willing to give your advice if asked. If you want ask this first, do want some advice? If no reply is given or they simply reply no, then don't give it.

By the way I acknowledge that it seems like a contradiction that I myself am breaking this rule. However, I assume you expect responses and advice when posting on a forum board.

I think the only solution to this is to just keep my mouth shut and if we lose just go with it and try to have some fun losing. Go for Highlight clips or something.

You are not there to teach others, plus the fact you probably wont meet them ever again.
