My account got hacked and I got suspended...

So about 4 days ago I notice someone had played around 12 games on my account on a mode I never go on, dropped me from honour level 4 to level 1 in that time frame and played champions I never play. Now to be clear I never EVER give my details to anyone, and rarely talk to other people on league so I'm a bit worried about what's happened. I contact Riot and the bot suggested to change password so I change email and password (just to be safe) and everything seems fine. an hour later my account gets suspended for "3rd party software on the client" and I contact Riot again asking what's happening and they've now sent me to a player behaviour team for a human response, but still nothing on the 4th day.

I'm lost I haven't played in 4 days now and I have spent so much time into this game and sooo so much money on that one account. I was just curious if this had happened to anyone else, and what happened at the end of it all?

Edit: So 2 weeks later and no reply and no word from anyone who could help. Thanks Riot, the amount of money and time I've spent just to be hacked and suspended, I hope one day you'll give a crap about us.

Same thing happened to me a while back. They had even bought RP with my card since my card was linked to the account.

I had bank statements, login IPs, proof that I wasn't even near a computer during the time of suspension.

Riot just said "it doesn't matter who was on the account it still created a toxic experience for the people in the game."

The poor customer service at riot is the reason I stopped buying RP. They're inexperienced and bad at their customer support jobs and that's a lot to say for a big gaming company.

It has happened before, if a certain veteran here in NA was telling the truth about their situation anyways. Although their case was many years ago they still haven't received help, and were turned away by Riot numerous times.

Not sure if it will be the same for your case though, since yours is a new case and the circumstances were likely different. Additionally their case originated in a time when Riot's policies were different, so don't lose hope just because of this.

Anyways, I already upvoted and commented to get some visibility for you, but I wish you the best of luck with your troubles.

How would people even get into your account though? Like, do they just guess your passwords and stuff like that and just take it.

Same happened to me yesterday..... Havent played in months and been banned for someone playing my account......

My account got hacked last year, they used all my refunds, and played ranked on my account but that was it and luckily i was able to re-secure my account and rito got my stuff back. I never share info with anyone or anything i say is remotely close to my account name or password. I really don't understand why they don't add an authenticator or some kind of two step verfication. Hope you can get it sorted out.

Seems like that's what has happened to me as well. Logged in after ages and my account is suspended. I've contacted the Support but considering your words, I might just uninstall and get back to DotA2. At least Steam does know how to handle support.

It's funny how ppl can manage to steal an account and get banned right away, what do they do? Fart in chat? Can't they just open an account and play like anyone else?

And how come Riot doesn't contact you when someone is connecting from the other side of the world and prevents the account to be used, or at least warns you a couple times? Damn lazy on their side.

Hope to see a reply sooner or later.. been years without it so not a big deal, beside the money they'll never reimburse after the theft.

Damn I havent experienced something like that yet and I hope I never will, I hope some riot supp sees this because that horrible, if customer support is really that bad for such an massive game like league they have a serious problem, dude I hope someone can help you out, I think we can agree we love this game, and for something so malicious yo happen would break my heart to no degree summoner 7 summoner 13 summoner 21 Kayle
