A Simple Way To Diminish The Toxicity In League

Just punish griefing players. That's it. (EDIT: apparently people are sticking to this sentence so let me reword it: put in place REAL consequences for negative behavior in game.) In my experience (which is vast since I got as of now 8 accounts perma banned for raging in chat), the reason why I get so mad is because I know full well they will see no repercussions for their actions. they are pretty much free to push your buttons knowing full well that riot won't punish them.

I even had a game where everyone was against the griefier. her got 9x and got nothing. I even sent a support ticket and I got a response telling me to mute him and that they will look into the game. he isn't banned as of yet.

Anyways, my new account is chat restricted. again. someday ill reform but as long as this is happening to a game I actually enjoy, I will lose my shit. Guess that runs in the family

inters/trolls do in fact get punished. Whether it is a rate we are happy with is another matter. Then again, we can't even agree what is and isn't trolling.

I wonder why they've never thought of doing that! It's such a genious idea!!

Although, wait,

How exactly do we do that reliably and efficiently?

I mean an automated system that can read texts and parse meaning, that's no problem. Google does that every time you hit enter on the search bar. Making one that can interpret actions? Well that's a hell of a lot harder.

You can't just hire people to do it either, or even get volunteers. There is simply just too much gameplay for anyone to be able to parse through, even if that "someone" was hundreds of people.

A simple way to end homelessness. Just give everyone a house and 10 acres of land.

You don’t just “just” do something. That’s not how life works.

Just

God I hate that word. Whenever people start out a suggestion using that word, it means they've given no thought to whatever follows. None at all.

You know those people only do it for whatever reaction they get, right?

That is indeed correct. All a report does is to trigger the system to review the game. More reports within the same game actually does nothing extra to speedup or increase the chances of punishment.

This also means that there is no reason to ask for reports. It does nothing extra and it only serves as a tool to threaten to ban other's account, which means the chat was used in a harassment fashion, and thus a punishable offense for you, the person asking for reports.

Also to note: The conclusion of the review could be no toxicity or griefing was found. People who claim to see griefers running rampant are likely falsely accusing others of griefing and inting. People make bad decisions, just because they make a decision you don't agree with, doesn't make them inting, griefing nor trolling.
