Remember, punish the guy getting flamed by the duo.

It's disgusting how Riot basically enforces you to not speak up for yourself. If there's a duo in your game who do nothing but call you out and cut you down you can't do a fucking thing about it other than muting them.

If you start having a back bone and telling the duo how it is it will just backfire on you. Why though? Because 2 > 1.

You can claim in all chat that theres a toxic duo on your team, but when they act innocent and patronizing it typically gets a "lol" response from the enemy. Then come post-game if you don't have some godly KDA your team and the enemy has more than 1 good reason to just report YOU. I got chat banned from this exact scenario. Like what the actual fuck man? I started out just typing to my own team and it just escalated to the two of them being garbage human beings. I then told the team theres no way for us to win now because the duo wouldn't follow up on any engage I made, just watching me die. Is that intentionally losing? Fuck no it's just the truth. It literally became harassment after the game. Both spamming game invites and friend requests, it even extended beyond that with i'm guessing their other toxic club members or alts. But then it's YOU that gets punished. YOU who had honor 5 last season and high honor this season. And nobody in Riot would even tell me if they got punishment too. So as far as I know I just got shit on for not letting two pieces of garbage trash talk me both in team chat, all chat, and post game chat.

I guess moral of the story is don't even communicate with your team. Don't try to make friends even though Riot keeps trying to enforce that. Don't try to settle any kind of differences you might have with anyone on your team. Don't defend yourself when some other piece of shit jumps in to back the first guy up. Even if you're right and they're wrong, you'll get the punishment for it.

Thanks for letting internet bullying have its way in your game, Riot.

You can defend yourself so long as it's done in a respectful (neutral or positive) manner. Defending yourself is not yelling, raging and flaming back, but is retaliating instead, which is what allot of people don't realize when they claim that they were banned for "Defending themselves". As for the Reform Card it only shows your chat because it's only your behavior that's being judged in your case since it was your actions that got your account punished. Next time just mute, report and move on rather than retaliate back. From the Instant Feedback System FAQ:

WHY WAS I PUNISHED WHEN THE OTHER PERSON WAS WORSE OR STARTED IT! Simply speaking, retaliation is not an acceptable or justifiable behavior. An argument between two players can easily create a negative experience for the rest of the players in the game with you. Regardless of the other player’s actions, this does not justify your own behavior. You alone are responsible for your actions within the game. If you encounter a toxic player like this, the best option is to simply report their behavior and move on. Reports are a vital piece to the puzzle. If you are not sure of what sort of behavior is reportable take a look at the Reporting a Player FAQ

If you would like to actually discuss your case then please post your entire unedited chat logs here in this thread, and if they're clean then the punishment may be reduced or removed.

There's not even a point to be made posting in-game logs because all it does is show how I stood up for myself. It doesn't show the remarks made to come to that point. It doesn't show the actions made by the duo that lead up to this. It just shows how I got pissed off that people can be so god damn awful.

Standing up for yourself implies that your actions prevented further harassment (like using the mute or report features). Counter-flaming means that you continued/aggravated a word war and made the situation worse. (also, 1 report is the same as 9 reports, the system treats then equally and just flags the player for review)
