Permanent Chat Restriction

Ok, so I've recently been P banned for reasons. Not requesting for unban but I think that people's behavior in chat (like mine) should not only get chat restrictions, but permanent chat restrictions.

Like probably thousands before me have said, the game is competitive and that kind of language can be 100% expected, but if you decide to instead keep on BMing/Flaming/Trashtalking the entire experience of LoL you shouldn't necessarily get perm banned. Yes, they do give you punishments that lead up to P bans but if your issues of behavior revolve around chat and nothing else, there should be a permanent chat restriction.

Unless you troll (e.i inting, buying off-meta or unviable items in ranked, not going assigned roles, etc), then you can get perm banned.

I know there would be arguments that well if you can't listen after punishments like 100 game chat restrictions and such you should be p banned, but that's where I disagree. Like I've previously said, if your issues revolve PURELY on your behavior on chat there should be a chat permanent chat restriction.

Now this, if I were to implement it, wouldn't be like the usual ones you get for just competitive bm. It should be you cannot see messages created by users and you cannot message either. Ever. At the start of the game, it should have a little yellow message (like when it says that some runes are unavailable e.i cannot equid zombie ward on twisted treeline) that says that [Summoner Name - Champion Playing As] is suffering a permanent mute or something like that so their team can know they can't communicate through messages.

Of course, you would still see pings and emotes but chat is gone. I think this would solve a lot of problems to people who don't know how to shut it (like me) and mouth off.

Just a note I have never intentionally trolled in regular or ranked. Intentionally as in doing it to make people angry or put us behind. I have tried off-meta in Draft and Blind, but never in ranked. I could not, and never will be banned for trolling; that's a promise lol.

Has been done before and hasn't worked people started Inting to release their frustration. Also this has been asked many times.

They used to have really long chat restriction, but people just started trolling when they recieved them.

Since trolling is a lot harder to catch than flaming is, you can't just permaban them when they begin trolling.

So while this would be an ideal solution, it's currently not possible when we can't reliably catch trolling.

Riot used to have indefinite chat restrictions as punishments. Players could essentially get longer and longer restrictions with no limits. All that did was cause players to start competing on who could get the longest chat restriction and finding other ways to grief their team. That’s why Riot switched to the current system of 25 games being the longest chat restriction and moving on to vans after that.

I don't know if there already is a P chat restriction btw. If there is well there is my idea lol.

I think you can send a ticket to support to ask them to place an x amount days of chat restriction without honor reduction on your account.

Why should other players have to suffer for what you did wrong?
