How to fix Normals (and some ranked games)
I've been having incredibly bad luck in the last year with normal games.
At least 1/4 of games I have at least 3 incompetent players that participate in the following practices of griefing.
- Not warding.
This is so sad that it has to be my number one pick it and leads into every other grievance. By refusing to use your warding totem/warding items throughout the game you will die and lead to the deaths of your teammates. I noticed that almost every player is buying this item (it's free) at the start of games and uses it a couple times in lane, forgets it's there and starts the cycle of endless failure(feeding).
- Not pinging
Number 2, when the jungle comes, use the ping. When your lane opponent leaves, ping. When you lose sight of an enemy, ping. When you want something done, ping.
Just like #1, if you don't ping people will feed.
- Feeding
How not to feed/have team mates feed? Ping, ward. IF they don't listen? it's their problem.
- AFK
Need I say more?
Now that we understand my greatest grievances we'll go into solutions which I think make sense and have a more lasting and immediate effect than our current reporting system which does do wonders after games are finished but what if we need solutions now?
To emulate other competitive games such as counter strike which gives the team the option to immediately remove a teammate that is exhibiting signs of cheating/griefing and other online games which allow a quick replacement of problematic players.
To start off this system could easily be abused by 2-4 man parties to kick out innocent players and I'm in no way implying it's perfect but hear me out.
Give players the option to choose to replace a problematic/afk player. Reward this player, punish the one that got removed. The person that gets removed immediately is forced into playing bot games or something of the sort. Give the removed player the option of reporting abuse such as a 4 man premade forcing them out of the game as a form of griefing.
This system gives immediate punishment for feeding/griefing/afk
That's my opinion anyways, leave it to a vote. If a teammate isn't cooperating and isn't helping why should they stick around, let them play bots and let those who want to improve and make the game a better place thrive.
